here is the new case and dial design Keith and I have been working on for release 1st...the "CaveDweller".....the dial is a rough rendering right now and the indices and hands may appear a bit larger but you all get the concept....super lume blue will be used and should glow like a beacon and a Miyota auto will power it! hand6.gif

....minute hand can be outlined in color plounger style and red was just used as our primary color for the second hand....yellow,orange etc. can be used as well instead of.....the case design is new and is 44mm by 14.75mm in a brushed finish and will come with bracelet(exactly like that on the No.02) w/divers extension in 22mm along with the rubber strap pictured, sapphire crystal, screw down crown....the lug architecture is very cool and I have been wearing this for about a week and can't say enough as to how comfortable it is and ledgeable due to the larger dial area!yahoo.gif

We would like to get our astute members input as to colors, hands etc. and what you think is very important to us...Enjoy 3T!thankyou.gif

Looks good, any chance of making the Bezel more Agressive looking?

Just seems that with a name like cave dweller it would be a really aggressive watch.

Either way, it looks great, a Boschett owner I shall be

Hey Huck....the bezel is actually a stepped bezel and I will try to get a side view up later....we have discussed the possibility of a black pvd bezel to give it a stealthier lookhand6.gif

I agree with Hucky...I love the aggressive look of the No. 02 proto bezel.  Also I am a big fan of the matte black dial and skinny hands.  White dial would look sharp as well.  That No. 02 was all me, clean and simple but still eye catching!

I think the small indices on the No2 are nice but don't fit with the "toolish" look of that case.  I feel a more agressive dial would work better with that case and bezel.

Thoughts?

I like the Cave dweller case and bezel. I dont like the Zodiac style indices with those hands, probably why I sold my Zodiac, I think simple circle's would offset the hand design, for a cleaner more legible look.

Very cool watch BTWhand6.gif

I am a buyer of that one ...... I wouldnt change anything except for the face color ... If its an agressive outdoor watch, I would want an outdoor color mabey ....... medium or even a light blue ...... yellow and orange are good ..... a red orange like the Tutima .........

First of all I think this thread should be separated to a new thread for the Cave Dweller otherwise it could get rather lengthy.

Second let me say that the Cave Dweller looks to be an extremely strong contender in the new upcoming dive watches catagory. Since you asked for input here are some of my thoughts:

• The stepped bezel looks good as long as those machined notches on the perimeter are deep enough for a good grip.
• On the bezel I would like to see the 12:00 marker triangle outlined in black for better definition.
• I like the architechture of the lugs, a cool blend of curves and flats.
• The case might already be "set in stone" but I would like to see some simple crown guards around the crown.
• I like the all brushed finish of the case. Easy to touch up.
• I agree with a comment on the dial, the hour markers should be SLIGHTLY smaller.
• The dial 12:00 marker would benefit from a vertical black separation line down the center for immediate recognition and differentiation.
• I like the classic black dial color.
• Slightly narrower hands, (currently a little over powering proportionally).
• The minute hand should have lume that extends closer to the pivot post to differentiate it more from the hour hand.
• The second hand should have the base blacked out. Or it could even have the base and shaft blacked out so that the sweepping head looks like it is floating around the dial.
• I have heard that the color red turns black when viewed underwater, I have never confirmed it, but if so, I would go with a different color like yellow or orange for the second hand accent color.

Again, let me say these thoughts are just my opinion. :D
