From the comments I've been reading, it seems like they are taking them good time at the German customs...Had then same trouble once with the Norwegian customs: 2 weeks of "analysis" to find out if they should make me pay them taxes...

Yea once. They and US Customs played the blame game of who lost the watch. I never got it. That was about a 4 month headache I think back in 2008.
