I bought a watch from a guy in Spain once: No trouble at all. It was from an auction on the Bay and the guy did deserve a great feedback: The watch was pristineThumbsUp02.gif
But the last time I received a watch from a Norwegian, I was deceived: The guy "didn't know the difference" between only hairlines and scratches&dents...
I had to trust his judgement as the pics was crappy.
I sent the watch back and got refund.
I would say that whatever the country, if you deal with a serious collector, you will mostly have no troubles.
The problem after that can be the customs: And yes Tony, you certainly heard of it lately that in Italy, the customs went on the wrong side...

Thanks Will, I'm not so concerned about the seller as much as the theives in the mailroom. Express mail has worked well in the past for me both ways, I'll have to see what shipping he plans on using if I proceed.

Shipping with tracking number and signature with identity proof at reception is often the best: They also travel apart from the others.
Packages who are stolen on post terminals are often those without any tracking: Like this nobody can say "It disappeared at this facility" then start an investigation there...
