Well it's been 18 months since I put my deposit down on my Olivier Bronze Miyota.
Seems me and most of the world are still waiting, did any of you guys order one?
Did you get it?
Shall I give up all hope of Roland ever contacting me again?

LOL Cheers Oscar, I had already placed my order before that thread came about, I wanted to buy a bronze and I wanted to do a pre order, something which I had never done before, but yes you are right, he is a crook and the CUSN8 argument went on forever!

...Who suffers?...the watch guy who put his money down, and blindly supported this person without knowing anything about him,but the BS he spewed on the forums, and in this case it came down to 1 forum known for supporting these types of start up watch companies...just add Olivier to the list of failed companies that took advantage of good hearted watch enthusiasts. What is hard to believe is that he still has supporters!

Well he doesn't have a supporter in me. I also am one of those folks who preorder immediately. Unfortunately it was before the thread here popped up and exposed some things. The entire Olivier experience was just disappointing. Lies on top of lies. Looking back, I probably should have attempted to get my deposit back or just charged that $200 to the game. But myself like so many others wanted a bronze watch.

Dudes complete lack of regard for his customers is disgusting. I feel this way and I got my watch back on December 18. Some folks said once I got my watch that I would forget all about everything else. Bull. The watch is cool, but not great. I wouldn't compare it to my H2O Orca, or my Helson Sharkmaster. The watch is starting to turn a ugly dark brown/black color. Not like any of the nice colors that I've seen on so many of those Helson or Benarus bronze watches. I was planning on doing all natural patina, but I think I'm going to try the boiled egg treatment on it.

I'll post some pictures of mine when I get back from lunch.

As much as the Viking from Tempest: Don't look good!
Still, I saw on FB that a guy received his O.Bronze last wednesday.
He posted 2 days after but the patina looked like crap honestly.
Those watches seems to pop out from the deep like random bubbles without any kind of special communication.
Many are protesting about missing parts who was ordered along the watch and also defects followed by total absence of after-sale service.
My guess is that: If O.T honor his debts towards his customers, he will disappear fast after. IMO the credibility is f@cked.

Each alloy will have a different patina and one should not expect a classic CuSn8 patina on another similar bronze as the small presence of different metals along majority of copper, is changing the chemical process of oxidation.
On Oscar's link from 3T:http://timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=24147&forum_id=1&highlight=olivier
The 20th january 2012, Olivier was showing his first prototype along the Pam 382 who is a CuSn8.
You see very well that the Olivier doesn't even have the same copper reddish tone as the Pam. Both watches are not oxidized: They look fresh.

Still on the 6th februar 2012, Olivier.T was stating: "... our cases are CuSn8, german made and looks exactly how you would expect CuSn8 to look, and age. I have now sourced CuSn8 from both Germany and from here locally in Redondo Beach where I have my buckles made..."

For me: It showed at once, that from the beginning, he was using a very close to CuSn8 alloy but not this very one.
Good luck to all who are still waiting for them watch.

I actually like the original color of the watch a ton more than how it currently looks.  These pics are from January. I'll snap some more recent ones later today. At this point the color wasn't as bad as it now, but it was getting there.

IMO, the original color looks so much better. I don't think I can say that for any of the other bronze watches I've seen from other brands.

Yep, yours like the others I've seen on WUS...
They nearly all turn kind of grey: Maybe because of the higher level of zinc or lead as on the chart O.T came with.
But who knows in fact what kind of alloy he did get from China.
When you look at the whole picture: Scafo,Olivier,Zhuke...
This case had many names: Longio made them all apparently and some small brand starters just had to pick on them catalogue.
For the patina: There's a guy who apparently made it good there http://forums.watchuseek.com/f74/olivier-bronze-diver-worth-wait-%5Bpoll-inside-pvd-not-pvd-%5D-801623-2.html
But you know: He don't want to tell...
Maybe he want to sell his patented process later on, when half of the world owns a O.Bronzooh my.gif
Maybe you can work it out with a Q.tip and a bit of vinegar but take it easy and don't soak it, it might penetrate in the seals and damage the gaskets.

Strange thing is I prefer my metals shiny, I didn't buy a car in the hope that one day it would go rusty. :)
This is all academic as I will never see this watch or my money from that scamming bar steward!

Crap story Tor! I was hoping that it would work for you soon after we spoke of it.
Seems like there is some rare delivery still: Don't want to defend this communication-sucker but just telling facts.
This story sould send a warning to any who would preorder from out-of-the-blue-firms.

I'm not able to understand what's happening to the company. He's got watches, but not able to send them out to customers? Not communicating. Look at the Facebook page. Filled up with complaining customers. Why doesn't he just delete his profile?

I'll use some of the money on this one:
