Unity watches are thought, drawn, machined in Barcelona, Spain.
The case parts are sent to Switzerland for different surface finishes then shipped again to Barcelona for assembly.
They come in 2 versions: 42mm "Soft" and 44mm "Strong".
They all house a Valanvron 24 caliber and are 50 meters water resistant.
The bronze model has a 2824-2 ETA caliber and is 100m water tight.

Valanvron is a new Swiss company( est.2010) who produces clones from ETA as Sellita.
Them seem to use blank parts from Seagull(Chinese) ETA clones which are finished and assembled along with them own parts in Switzerland.
Making those movement "Swiss Made" by the actual laws.

You can also "build" your own model on them site.
The bronze model is made of "Marine bronze" and limited to 30 pieces: The "Jules Verne" is available right now for 850€ or about 1100$ with today's change.
The other models are going for and around 700-900€
You can even visualize the watch virtually on your wrist with the "augmented reality" feature...
There's a lot of infos and pictures of the process on them site.
I'll let you see by yourself...But first, some snacks or pictures to give you a hint of what we speak about.
A steel model with a nice blue dial...

And there is the bronze...

Interesting, but not my cup of tea. peace.gif

Unique case design...I'll give it that.

The LE JULES VERNE version, which would normally bring to mind a capable "deep diver" piece, has a water resistance rating of 100m and is done in 'marine bronze' which is likely brass given the current state of things in watch manufacturing (I would talk to the brand owner if you are serious about picking one up, but even then...). I can wash my hands in this watch due to the 100m WR rating and spritz it with salt water to develop corrosion (if brass) and patina (if bronze) on the case.

I'm not seeing the value here given the asking price???

I like the case design, the dial not so much, seems it should be a bit more edgy like the case design....but one thing for sure is they use Asian eta clones, judging from the pic of the one FS Tony posted...no.gif

Yes Tony: As you, I saw this one for sell and asked myself what it was...
So I posted what I found about them to present something new.
I'm not specially hooked on them design of the "soft case" but the 44mm "strong" looks better to me.

As you say Chris: One should ask and know about if this bronze is brass before any purchase.
I hope we can find out soon.
For the WR, it's clear that the 100m is not specially what we have in mind with the name "Jules Verne" but I guess that they just made a reference on the ancient porthole look there.
100m WR will content the normal user: Those watches never profiled them self as "adventurer's companion" either.

Oscar: Yes they look like the Seagulls but they are somehow not.
As told in my description:Valanvron is a new Swiss company( est.2010) who produces clones from ETA as Sellita.
Them seem to use blank parts from Seagull(Chinese) ETA clones which are finished and assembled along with them own parts in Switzerland.
Making those movement "Swiss Made" by the actual laws.

It is a way for Valanvron to cut on the production price.
I also personally suspected that ETA was doing it somehow since the low cost of them movements is not so representative of the high wages in Switzerland. But who knows: It's just speculation.
