I needed to put a new battery in my Android Phantom quartz watch today. I must say I got a chuckle out of the size of the movement inside. The case on the Phantom is 44mm. The quartz movement is just under 14mm. The battery is almost 1/3 of the movement size. mistake.gif

Indeed. Just a lot of air inside. And, the battery costs about half what the movement probably costs.

I think the watch is floating on the water and does not sink. dog smile.gif

I suspect I would see the same inside some of the 50MM + watches on the market. The cases keep growing, but the movement size seems to remain stable.
