Hey guys, haven't posted in a while but usually check out what's going on once a day!!!

Have only added a couple watches on the last 18 months, put putting disposable income into my new toy....see pic.

Anyway a fiend of mine showed me this website the other day, thought I would get your opinion, most of the watches are homages to others but the bronze model looked kind of interesting...if it really is bronze.

What do you think?

lower end sister brand of Prometheus...from my experience you get what you pay for...I was unhappy with the Sea Dragon I purchased due to stamped case with sharp edges...flipped it days later for a loss as did many others I have seen on FB,but then to each their own,I based my opinion on experience with other brands sold at equal pricing... jmho...no.gif

The first Borealis that has made me look twice is the new Estoril, I have it on pre-order.
I like the idea enough to give them a try and the case shape falls well outside of "stamped, branded, and sold"

I haven't seen any real pictures of that new bronze model but the modeled images look like they fall in the middle of Oscars complaint bell curve, stamped case, sharp edges etc.

Still who else has a sub $500 CuSn8 watch?

Oscar that Zelos Helmsman is a great find! One of the most original bronze pieces I've seen from a micro, I might have to put that on the list myself...

I keep going back to the Borealis Batial for a second look, 3000m, large crown, I did find an HE valve in the blue print drawings, If I was a bronze guy and the real pictures of the watch looked good I might still take one for a test drive...

Will be very interested to hear your impressions when your Zelos arrives Oscar. The Zelos brand, at least from their own marketing, seems to pride themselves in designing and producing watches from the ground up, with the implication that you won't see the design anywhere else as a result. Some cool looking models in their linup.ThumbsUp02.gif

Nick - First of all, your new toy is absolutely INCREDIBLE and STUNNING!!!wowzer.gif (well worthy of your focus over the last 18 months...love it!!!)Thumbsup3.gif

Regarding your original question, I don't have any experience with Borealiswatch, only the sister brand Prometheus. I've been very impressed with the specific watch models that I've received from Prometheus (especially at the pre-order pricing levels which offered a significant discount). I own the "Sailfish" and the "Poseidon" models, and can easily say I'm very happy with the watches, especially at the preorder price points.

Way off topic, but why not...a few pics of my Sailfish and Poseidon.

Sailfish on a bracelet and strap

Poseidon (have not had it off the bracelet yet)

Thanks Chris, the Model A is a lot of fun and it's forcing me to learn, before I got this car my mechanical ability was limited to adding washer fluid and maybe oil.....there seems to always be something to work on with the "A".

I didn't realize that Borealis was a sister brand to Prometheus, I've read some good things about that brand.
