Hey guys. I googled everything I can on the Vixa Type 1 (because I love both the red and the blue faced versions of this icon) and found stories about the illness of the founder, a "new" Vixa company that didn't deliver their very expensive new range, and only ONE (blue) Vixa Type 1 for sale at the moment through an Italian forum with which I have no experience. The seller of that watch hasn't got back to me.

Since y'all are the gurus - what actually happened to Vixa, and are there any lurking in the hands of savvy 3T members that haven't shown up in my searches in here for some time...? I did see that Tony Duronio sold his blue Type 1 to a happy new owner on 3T a couple of years ago. But you know how it is - every now and then one watch in your memory just jumps out at you and says "buy me".

Would love to see any of your real life pics of the red or the blue if you have one. And if you are not selling - maybe you could send me a PM on what you estimate the market price is for them now?

Many thanks in advance.

And Happy Easter to all at 3T!

IanM

Vixa has not been opertaing for years,at least not the one we know...as you say Ian there was a Type 1 Vixa selling on the Italian forum in 4 colors a few years back, but from what I hear not under the old ownership from when the Type 1 became so popular some 15 years ago...and yes they are scarce... here are the 2 I have left.ThumbsUp02.gif

You are such a gentlemen, O! Thanks for the pic of your two beauties. That blood red dial is magnificent, as is the blue. I was aware of blue, black and blood red for the original Type 1. What was the fourth color offered by the "new" Vixa company? Hmmm, that red... might have to make that my new grail watch278.gif
The hunt is part of the fun! Thank you for your help, and if you hear of any sellers any heads up would be appreciated too. Happy Easter! IanM

Hey Ian...the 4th color was a multi color dial which was not original to the Type 1 Trilogy as you mentioned, but something I believe the new owner decided to do...if I remember correct it was red, blue, green and red sliced like a pie in 4 sections.I will see if I can find a pic...I may part with the red dial and you will be 1st in line my friend...

Hi again O. I will happily wait for your decision good sir. And that multi colored pie dial version doesn't need photos - no wonder I have never seen a pic of it! Lemme know if and when that red needs to find an appreciative new owner... Have a great Easter break Mr Gaspar!
