Announced at Basel 06, the new Swiss ETA G15.261 has been pretty highly anticipated. I thought I remembered an announcement that Tissot would have them first in the PRS516 line, but I have not seen one myself.

The first watch to be delivered to the public with this groundbreaking new ETA movement will be from Android, and exclusive to ShopNBC viewers. Pics are down below.

I spoke with Wing and he says that he was able to secure the very first 300 pieces of this movement, which is a major accomplishment for a brand that is not all-Swiss! Wing has quite an amazing story to share about these movements, but I will let him tell it instead.

Here are the specs that I have found on the movement:

ETA G15.261 quartz chronograph movement
Diameter: 10½''' (23.30 mm)
Height: 5.25 mm
Frequency: 32,768 Hz
Jewels : 6

Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, date, chronograph

Chronograph functions: central 30-second counter, over 180° (retrograde hand, scale in the counter-clockwise direction)5 minute counter at 2 o’clock, over 120° (retrograde hand, scale in the counter-clockwise direction)60 minute counter at 10 o’clock, over 144° (retrograde hand, scale in the clockwise direction)

What a classic and beautiful design. 42mm case with an elegant dial.

The post above was sent to me by a member of another forum that caters to JS/Slopnbc and posted by none other than snbc host JS!... I couldn't believe the BS that this supposed expert is spewing!!! Not only did Tim Temple have the Only working Model of this new ETA Retrograde months ago on his show He also had the packet that all Basel attendees who were invited to the ETA G15-261 Premier on his Show!... and reported here at 3T on April 9,2006!.....and Then Glen(nrg) posted Pics of his Tissot Dual retrograde here on this Forum!!!When are WIS going to learn that JS is nothing but BS!!! I honestly feel bad for the good members of that forum who have to listen to this type of BS and even worse for the newbies who believe Him!!!!!...and JS called 3T the Forum that is known for posting unfactual material!

Yeh, but per Corona Gorda...................we are not a factual forum!  I guess, with his ego, it's not true until he says it is!!!!  What a DUFUS!

Rumor on another forum (that's not known for factual information) is that Watch Commander is teaming up with Tim Temple on Tim's new shows.

I was wondering what happened to the Watch Commander since I looked at CSN and he was gone and two goobers were trying to sell off every watch they had...

Of course, we now know nothing happened with TT as his show seems to have never materialized.

I think the entire group over there are full of S**t.  A watch designer can make a watch with steel, brass, the jewels, seals needed, a crystal blank and the tools lathe, press and digital R3 map. Take the Short cut of using manufactured screws and clasp are always nice, but I digress.  Him calling himself a designer and not knowing how to make a watch is funny.  Consultants give opinions or feed back on a design.  Consultants can not make a watch.  As far as the current BS that is typical BS from the uneducated.

Tim's show is on track at SAH. Obviously the show dates that were given were not correct. Someone had bad info at SAH. I'm not at liberty to say when the first show will be. It will be relatively soon. Tim has been in town for the past week, I was at his place last night doing some recording and he gave me the low down. The SAH watch program will be happening. The Watch Commander will be there as well. As far as the show being on Dish Network, it looks like we may be out of luck. There is a dispute there, and it doesn't look like it will be resolved in the near future. It is really exciting to hear about all brands that they will have there. I'm just bummed that I won't be there with him. That's all the news I have for now.

I hate I was banned (for reasons unknown to me) over at the CG fansite. I sure miss all the misinformation, and the idolatry of course was always good for a laugh.

Or better yet...........he may want to contact the forum that's "not known for factual information" in order to get his facts correct before posting his inarticulate, uneducated dribble.     Naw.......he's too frakin' stupid and pathological for that.

Hey , somewhere in this post, we ought to start patting ourselves on the back because we are better than those other forums who are always bashing everyone!!!!!! ('cause we get to define "bashing" - what a freakin' joke!)
