Oscar is correct. I got a Scuba from him and I DO love it. It is one heavy watch though. However, after I have had it on for a bit I no longer notice the weight. The one I got from Oscar is rock solid. And, it glows very well in the dark. Very well. Rates in Invicta's top ten watches. Easily.

As for the rubber strap, I'm sure it is a nice strap. But, it is always better to get the bracelet model and then buy a strap if you want to swap out. To get a watch on a strap and then buy the bracelet later will really cost you mucho extra bucks. This is true for most any watch company.

Might be hard to find. Personally I like braclets but prefer rubber for watches I am going to pound on. Also the bracelet seems to fit differently be it Summer or Winter. Suddenly, with the cooler temps, all my bracelets have a little slop in them. I do think this is an extrordinary bracelet but wouldn't let it be a make or break for getting the watch at the price you're talking about.

Let us know how it turns out...

Pax

It's tough, but...I may opt for the bracelet just to have it around as it would be difficult to find afterwards.  I tend to like the bracelets..smile8.gif

True. But the slop is not caused by the bracelet. Its you. Your body swells a bit in the summer heat (especially during the day) and your bracelet fits a bit snugger. In Phoenix, your feet and hands can swell a lot during the 100+ degree days.

In Santa Fe, New Mexico during the summer, all the jewelry stores have blue Windex available to help people get their rings on and off. Tourists go there to shop for jewelry, rings, etc. But, after walking around they suddenly find that they can't get their ring off to try on a new one. Windex works great in helping get the ring off.

The bracelet is definately the way to go on this watch. There is nothing wrong with the bracelet in my opinion. In fact, it is one of the strengths of the watch. The one I have is flat out perfect. You can always customize a rubber strap later. You CAN'T customize a bracelet to fit this watch. Get the bracelet!!!

My comparison is based on Watches that sell in the $599./$699. range which if everyone remembers is what the Scooby sold for originaly and with that in mind the bracelet fell short compared to my Stowa .. Oceanauts or Sieko which sell in that price range and lesshand6.gif....at $250. I agree the bracelet is nice and is always the way to go but this is the first positive note I have heard about the Scooby bracelet...most report the link pins as being weak and the collars
falling out without notice....not my experience but based on what I have read and heard in converstaion ..it is what it is :D Wear it in Good health Eric and at $225. you can't beat that!cool10.gif
