I don't like the accusations floating though and don't like what I am hearing. Of course the thread is locked on the doxa forum.

If what John is claiming is even partially true Doxa  is F-ed up indeed!!

Why would you doubt me?  I have never lied to you, I always told it like it was to everyone.  When you needed to be taken care of, I made it happen.

Why mock me now?

John

I take it you are an expert on me?  I did not hold a thing over their heads.

I called ETA, this is true, but if you know anything about the forum, I was in the design process of two watches.  I also inquired for a freind.

In addition, I did not kiss and make up...I did not retract anything I said.  I received many emails from friends who said I had lowered myself.  Moreover, I should raise the bar for myself.

When did it become illegal to contact a company?

Who are you to judge?  You know nothing of what happened...but I guess since you own this forum, you can run it and say whatever you like.  Sounds strikingly familiar...

Facts before speculation...that’s what I learned in law school.

John

This has pretty much been discussed here for months about Doxas claims and unfolded by JohnnyP and Eric our 3T advisors ...it's no mystery that most Swiss watch companies contain as much as 70% Asian made parts....51% of "cost" and final assembly/inspection is all it takes to be called Swiss Made...remember 51% of the "total cost"....not parts is all it takes to garner "Swiss Made" on the dial....only a handful of Watch manufacturers can claim 100% Swiss Made with all components being Swiss made...that's why Jean Marcel is such a great buy imhohand6.gif I doubt anyone will be unloading their Doxas over this...they are still an Awesome Timepiece and have held their price.....nice thought though Crue!woohoo.gif I think the real question that is being tip-toed around...  is just how much of the Doxa watch is "chinese"?  We know the movt' is eta (but then again an eta movt is present in many "replicas"..) and the bracelet is Chinese according to Vargas....  Is the case Chinese as well?   We know the Lume is poor quality... so is the Doxa watch really a Chinese Watch with Swiss movt assembled in Europe?  Wonder if we will ever know the real answer to that one..

Can't wait to watch the saga unfold... might even be able to pick up a "Doxa" on the cheap soon..  selfishly that would be really cool...

Let me correct you on this as well...

Only when it is Swiss, may a watch carry the indications "Swiss made" or "Swiss", or any other expression containing the word "Swiss" or its translation, on the outside. According to Section 1a OSM, a watch is considered to be Swiss if:
  • its movement is Swiss;
  • its movement is cased up in Switzerland;
  • and the manufacturer carries out the final inspection in Switzerland
Not sure where you came up with the 51% Law...however, this is the correct OSM standard for Swiss Watches.  The watch can be 100% made anywhere else...and still be called a Swiss watch.

Hey John welcome to 3T.

I certainly am not mocking you in any way shape or form.

My doubt might be better expressed as being incredulous Doxa would forsake an asset like yourself over small change.

And I will never say otherwise... you did right by me and are the reason I went back to Doxa after swearing off them. This whole incident has again sworn me off their product until something changes.

I simply don't like the whirlwind of rumor surrounding the watches now and don't want to doubt the origins of my pieces... Of course, the powers at Doxa are being less than forthright which doesn't help the matter.

John, you were an asset to Doxa and I'll never think otherwise. You went to bat for me and I truly do appreciate and remember it. I wish you all the best!!

Wow, this is like the DOXA forum...

Yes, please post the dozen emails I sent you.

I do not even know who you are.

I never had the capacity to cancel orders, or take orders.  The only thing I could do was take an email request, sent buy the purchaser, and then send it to Switzerland.

  I never argued with a client when they wanted to cancel and order, that is their right, and their money.

When Processeing and order I had to log into the same screen as the customer.

Also, I just looked through my email inbox/outbox, and I do not have your name anywhere in it.

John...I am giving you more freedom here than you gave those with adverse opinions on the Doxa forum....you were as much of the problem there as you now feel you are the solution and don't you dare compare this forum to the circus you ran at WUS!!!!!....Your posts will not be deleted like the Doxa forum and now you feel you can go from forum to forum pleading your case...unlike you I do not share private e-mails on public forum...I have some self respect and morals.If any of us here were to pose the replies you are making here on the Doxa forum we would have been banned already! Like I said show us some facts to back up your accusations! ...and I have asked the same of Doxa. If you are only here to incite then you better put on your flame retardent suit or become an active member with something positive to contibute.:)

This is getting tiresome.  You got fired.  People lose/change jobs every day, get over it.  You are behaving like a spoiled petulant child who was told he couldn't have another candy bar.  Not everyone is going to agree with you and/or agree with your actions.  Better learn to live with that too.  If the tone evident in your litany of posts is indicative of your general demeanor, I would have fired you too.

I have never been a fan of Doxa and it's business practices, but you are behaving no better.
