I have the Steinhart GMT-Ocean1, Debaufre Aircraft-8 and Nav-B.  Have had no problems with any of them, and Alldaron & Elsa at Debaufre have been great to deal with. hand6.gif

Hmmmmm, I'm going to go ahead and call today and either order a Black SS Aircraft8 or the new Orange faced Airforce. With their 3 day policy I should have more then enough time to dicern whether or not its a watch worth keeping. Regards

Curious...any recommendations where I could find a good heavy rubber watch band for the Airforce? Not a big fan of leather....I tend to go through them like a dog through a leather chewie. anodie.gif

This is a review of the Debaufre Airforce Orange

First let me state, I am almost ashamed to admit I did not in any way shape or form expect the quality of watch I received. Not even close. I was impressed from the second I opened the package and saw the box. While it may not seem important to some...its attention to detail. The box was a well made watchbox with the Debuafre emblem or crest on top. I liked it! The watch arrived with a hex tool for changing out the band.

The watch is well built and solid.

The window on the back is simply beautiful and the Swiss movement is very nice.

I expected a much larger watch for some reason and it actually is the same size of watch I wear almost every day. I consider my wrist small and the watch still looks great.

Its a beast for sure. I thought I would want to change the watch band out but after getting one look at the one it came with...I think I'll just order a few spares. The band is just as beautiful. The buckle is just as well made as the rest of the watch.

I thought I should include a picture of the crown and also to give an idea of how thick this watch really is.

I apologize for my poor picture taking and poor review skills. But I promised photos and thats the main thing. I'm new to wind ups so wasn't sure how many cranks to give it honestly...would love some advise. subtlelaugh.gif

Have been researching 24mm rubber or silicon watch straps and they are apparently few and far between...sheesh.

CJ (canadajo) is the resident expert on rubber straps.  If he doesn't respond to this post, then PM him!

Also, for adding pictures, try this short tutorial!

Great review AND pics Blackwind.  As for winding, I always wind it fully just until you feel the resistance stopping you (dont try to torque it any further)...
