Looks nice, but while the Black and Orange Monsters are great "bangs for the buck" at around $150+/-...anything over $200 for a Monster with a 7S26 or 7S36 movement in it gets a little ridiculous...sapphire crystal or not.  The Yellow Monster is, IMO, a different story as it was a true LE with ONLY 300 pieces...the aftermarket sales price has proven that.

The Blue Monster was only Limited Production, and while it sold out, they trade at or about their intial purchase prices.  While the Red Monster is being touted as an LE, in the world of collecting, usually anything over 300 pieces is not considered as a true LE....I don't know what the price is, but at $300 t0 $400, which I suspect, I would hope that it would sport the 6R15 movement!

Let me see, it's red. It's a Seiko Monster. It is a LE/Limited Production (I don't care). And, it's red with some marketing behind it this time.

In the world of Seiko, where 1313 watches is a drop in the bucket - it will sell out quickly no matter if the price is $300 - $400 or even higher.

FWIW, the Blue Monster never was much of a looker. You either liked it or hated it.

Have to agree on all counts.  S'just that there are so few red divers out there.

Only nice one I ever had.

Beautiful as it was... Just couldn't get comfortable w/ the 39mm size.

Fit & finish couldn't be faulted.  On a par w/ any stainless sports watch you can name.  White gold surround on indeces.  Excellent lume. Historically significant name & maker, everyone realizes ETA is just the abreviation for ETernA.  Very cool Thor Hyerdahl tie-in.  Caseback was detailed and "pretty" enough I had trouble keeping the watch on (..kept sneaking a "peek" at the back!).

But after recent years of oversized divers, it was just Too Durn Small!

Even the kids commented how small it looked.  Was it small?  Of course not, Dead standard traditional mens case-size.  Just small by comparison.

Fine watch.  Just a little gem.  But having owned not one.. but two?!  ..I've just gotta admit I'm not going to wear that size again.

I like it but if it is over the $300-$400 range I'll pass:P Red is rarely used on a true dive watch as it is the hardest to see at diving depths...so I was toldhand6.gif
