to expect a response yeah or nay when you make an offer on a "Want to trade ad" ?? Sent a couple out the other day and zero responses:? and no.............I didn't offer an Invicta 8926 for a Doxa............both were reasonable.

Could be why they are still looking mistake.gif

You're certainly not wrong to expect the courtesy of a reply, Tony. However it may be overly hectic for many during the holidays, but I would expect a response nonetheless...

Hi Tony

I do not think it to be unreasonable to expect a response

to your offers. Common courtesy should be the guide.

Maybe thats the problem. Fewer and fewer people abide

by that rule.

Thats why I hold in HIGH REGARD those in business who

respect the PLEASE and THANK YOU Rules.

JMHO

I agree, if you take the time to list something for trade or sale, then you should always reply to people who make an offer. Even if the offer is silly, I always reply to them. I tell them it is silly, and I always counter-offer.

I recently listed a Sinn U1 for $1,150.00. I had a guy email me and ask "Would you take $750.00?". Those are the ones that drive me crazy!!

Or how about the ones who say "I'LL TAKE IT!" And then you never hear back, or they email back a lower offer than they first agreed to.

grrrrrrr....... sorry, just  my little holiday rant.goofy

I just came off a sellin spree and I had many offers for trades and I am positive I returned a response on every one ... it would be rude to not at least say no thanks ....... I had a couple of crazy trade offers though ....one guy wanted to trade a Renato for my stowa AND Limes divers .....he expected both ....I even gave him a no thanks  mistake.gif

You should have told him that you would acept his offer as long as he doesn't mind paying the 400.00 shipping charge!!

Thats a great Idea, $400.00 shipping charge, I would let him slide on the Paypal 3% though!!
