Look at the size of that bezel, "wow" yourock.gif I think the fact that Poul has not only gone to the effort of making these photos available to us, but if you check out the Korsbek forum you'll see that even when it was an idea on paper, he asked for suggestions and discussion regarding all aspects of the design of this watch. There were extensive discussion about things like lug spacing, springbars vs screwmount pins, hands, bezel design, dial layout. What makes this project special is that those of us who took part in those initial discussions maybe feel in some small way that they helped with the development of the design. Its also exciting that along with the Fricker case, Poul did say that these watches would be regulated by Fricker on completion unless I misunderstood that thread. I think in this age of mass-production this is a rare opportunity to jump on the bandwagon of something unique that has the potential to be really special. I guess with pre-production, the old saying applies in that you buy the seller as much as the watch! After those first few pics, I'm really looking forward to mine!

So far SYD the Korsbek design just "rocks". I am in for #14, but I don't see it ready until may-june.

Yep, I think you're right---it'll be a wait, but hopefully worth it. I'm in for no. 54.

I am so on the edge of a pre-order for this one. I would just like to see a real completed prototype and I think I will be convinced. The sum of the parts is really looking very promising.

The watch is made by Fricker in Germany and at $850. is a bargain compared to every other watch made by the same company at much higher prices imhohand6.gif ...the longer you wait the shorter the list gets and soon they will be sold out.....these are LE's of 100 and the next generation Korsbek will cost you more as Poul has stated

I have no doubts about it's quality. I'm sure it'll be a rock solid piece. It's just not singing to me in the drawings, but the production pics (particularly of the bezel) have me intrigued. PLUS I live in Washington and would have to pay stupid sales tax... Like I said, I'm REAL close to just ordering. I'm checking the Korsbek forum a couple times a day for more pics to push me over the edge!

OK, so I have been following the development of the Korsbek brand and the Ocean Explorer since the beginning. I just went back through and re-read every thread and every post at the Korsbek forum. Then I came to the conclusion...... I need this watch. This is going to be such a winner how could I pass it up!! I just placed my pre-order for the SS bezel version. I can't wait to see a prototype shot when Poul has it ready. Here's to waiting for delivery. Cheers.
