Sweeeeeet! the "Esplendidos" are Top Shelf for Cohiba!...Enjoy hand6.gifhand6.gif I bought some of the pre-embargo Cubans but haven't lit one up yet...but I doubt they are in the same league as what you have!cool10.gif A friend got ahold of some 're-banded' cubans that were held up in Customs. These are supposedly Cohiba Esplendidos with a new band applied - "RJ Selecion Especial, Puro Habano". Smells and tastes just like the real thing... not a bad way to spend a Friday evening...

Thx Oscar... I have had good luck and bad luck with some 'pre-embargo' cigars. The ones that were pre-embargo tobacco rolled recently dont seem to be as good as the ones that were actually rolled over 50 years ago, though certainly cheaper.
My local tobacconist acquired a box of cubans (50 short, small ring guage) that were rolled in 1910. He was selling the box for $11,000 until he found some of them infested with bugs. Now he has to sell the individual sticks for around $300 each.
What a dilemma! Do I get 1 cigar that will last me around 30 minutes OR buy a new watch? Hence the new ORSA coming my way!
