Got a surprise when I got home tonite.  Was taken to our local cigar shop/bar where I was lead to this wall of lockers...

and presented with the key to No. 58...

and behind the door was...

and I was wearing my new Aircraft-8...

The name plate will go on Sunday - 'Cohiba Man' of course...  hand6.gif

Very cool. So that is your own personal storage locker at that establishment? I am guessing it is a humidor locker?

Thanks guys... I was a happy CIS (Cigar Id...) for sure...   and Steve, the whole joint is humidified including the bar area; but the lockers are as well.  hand6.gif

btw, a friend of mine just started working there.  when I saw him last nite, he asks if I was wearing a Bell & Ross or 'one of those Invictas'...  heh.  Well, I showed him the Debaufre and he showed me the nice Louis Bolle he had on.  Never knew he was a 'budding' WIS - I invited him to visit here and join in...  hopefully he will...  gotta spread the good word...

Oh yeah! You lucky guy!
I am usually banished to the back yard for a good cigar <sigh>
That was the best part of Boy Scout summer camp, I could smoke all the cigars I wanted and not get a hassle! hand6.gif

Had some good ones too, Evo, Fuente, Macanudo and Hoyo de Monterrey :D

Enjoy your cigars Steve!

Cheers,
Griff

Nice. Where is a good place to order fine cigars from if you don't have a fine shop such as that local? I had a catalog sent to me once but can't for the life of me remember what company it was. I guess I need to dig around Baton Rouge and see if there are any finer shops there. I don't remember seeing any around though. Guess I could look around New Orleans as well.

There's gotta be something around there...  online I usually go to JR's (jrcigars.com) or Cigars International (cigarsinternational.com).  Also, Corona Cigars from here has a pretty good website as well (coronacigars.com)...  happy hunting Steve... ;)

I did a Google search for Baton Rouge and most places that come up are no longer in business. The few that are are not "fine" cigar dealers. The one that is has to be the the most Yuppified cigar bar you will ever see where the vanity of the establishment rivals Rodeo Drive in LA. I went there once and was not made to feel welcome at all. Prices are outrageously high as well. Guess I will do a search for N.O.

Thanks for the list. Thats the same site I searched BR with. Guess I will make a few phone calls to see if the places I want to check out are still open. Many places closed after the storms. A buddy and me were gonna go down on Magazine Street this last week to check out a home brew shop that had been there for years. Lucky we called first as they had been closed for over a year.
