I watched most of it. I was shocked at some of the prices. Even replicated Hemi Cudas, GT 350's & 500's, all of them, went for way more than what I imagined. Everything has turned 180 degrees. It used to be, "keep it original". It was an amazing show.

i agree randy.  i could not believe a 1970 hemi cuda went for 1.1 million.  and the futurama bus for 4 million.  i was interested in the bus but not at that price.  although lamborghini and bentleys went for way below wholesale prices.

They had some really good deals there. I will go to the next one. Maybe we should all meet there?

nope not mine.  i have a 1929 peerless owned by al capone.  only has 11,000 original miles on it.  got it for a good deal.  seems everyone who owned it died unexpectedly.  not being supersticious i bought it cheap.  and 20 years later i am still around hehhe.  it is rare.  only 4,000 total cars produced in 1929 and this is the top of the line limo one.  even has hydraulic brakes which was a rarity in 29.

I've never been to one yet. I have to go. I saw some really good deals if the cars were what was advertised. Some of the cars went for well over any kind of market value. It looked like they have a lot of high rollers who don't really care what they have to pay. A lot of high end Hot Rods going for a third of build cost. Overall, a lot of those collectables out did the stock market by leaps and bounds.

it is like the stock market in some ways randy.  what is hot today is cold later on.  i remember when the founder of dominos paid like 7 million for a bugatti for the 20's .  that was then later it was early vettes and tbirds and 59 caddy verts now it is all about muscle cars.  add a hemi and you add 10,0000's or more.  so when you invest you better know what you are doing and better be ready to jump out at the right time.
