Well that was quick, bought Friday, shipped Saturday and on my wrist right now watch2.gif
I am very pleased overall with the price, service and communication from the seller.hand6.gif The watch is BNIB, shipped in the Hami box with Books/warranty.

First impression is great overall, I am a happy WIS...Thumbsup3.gif
The watch looks as good as I thought it would based on the pics, I love the use of red on the dial and hands, the strap is comfy and light, the case is fairly big but not overdone with the lugs dropping down in a smooth sweepdown curve... it is very comfortable overall and is actually VERY light... seems to be half the weight of my Moray as I was switching watches earlier and held both at once. It wears kinda like a Titanium watch, I really expected it to be much heavier!!
The brushed finish is sweet and a pefect combo with the dial color and strap. The Dial's diamond pattern is just SWEETwoohoo.gif  and meshed well with the oevrall look of the watch, using white and red color. it is admitedly a bit sportier and aggressive than the Navy blue or blck dial, which I love and may very welld end up buying crap.gif but it is a nice watch nonetheless and the ETA 2983 true GMT mvt is a beauty I have already spent much time admiring thru the exhibition case back!Thumbsup3.gifThe crystal on the back has a logo and Operations Poseison on it, the MVT rotor is engraved "HAMILTON".. it realy looks good both from the front and from... hm... "behind"...
The crowns are easy to operate overall thought crown A is a little more stubborn than I'd like it seems, but it is new so we'll see... personally I think this watch could have done with 2 crowns instea dof wo and kept a little simpler in looks but also in useless complexity giving it more chnace for something to break or water to come in. Oh yeah the watch is WR 200m, all three crowns are screw downs... There are just 3 to remember to check on before divingmistake.gif

The only drawback one might see with this watch vs other versions is that there are no city names or locations, rather the inner bezel opening displays values... not a big deal to me as I am not yet senile and know which country I am in or tracking the time ofsubtlelaugh.gif
Well I have only had the watch a couple of hours so this is first impression... I like it and would love to compare first hand with a Navy or Racer...
Enjoy the bad pics:)
Cheers
Brice

This is as I was opening it.. so live pics:) party.gif

More later... Wirst shots... :)

Oh...yeah...Brice!!!   Congrats on the new arrival!!!ThumbsUp02.gif  woohoo.gifwoohoo.gif

That is one cool looking LE Hamilton!!!  Great shots and great wrist presence...really like the look of that integrated stitched rubber strap (also like that unique diamond patterned dial and the sporty red, white, and black theme).  I also enjoyed the additional wrist shots you posted up in the Daily Wristshot section today...looks great...it appears to "wear larger" than the 42mm case diameter would suggest!!!

Thanks for posting up your initial thoughts and a great set of quick pics...one of the interesting aspects of this LE "Operation Poseidon" GMT model is the "values" wording options...hmmm I'll have to think a bit more about how the choices of wording...courage, passion, innocence,....mingle with the Operation Poseidon theme....

...like I said, I really do like the sporting color combo and the unique diamond patterned dial on this Khaki LE...and at the price point that these are selling for, to get the ETA 2893 GMT movement driving this one is a spectacular value!!!Thumbsup3.gif

Congrats and enjoy this one!! ...and thanks again for more enabler candy...subtlelaugh.gif

Operation Poseidon Pierre Frolla
May 2nd, 2006
Frolla, 4 time world record holder and COMEX will dive for the chequered flag of the Monaco’s 64th Formula One Grand Prix

Wednesday 24th of may, Pierre Frolla will perform a breath hold dive to 100m+ with a weighted sled to retrieve the chequered flag of the Formula One Grand Prix.

At 100m deep, Pierre Frolla will meet the Remora, a COMEX submarine with on board, S.A.S Albert II Prince of Monaco. At that point of the dive, the submarine will give him the flag.

After being brought to the surface by the freediving champion, the flag will be signed by many celebrities including the 3 first drivers of the Grand Prix. Then it’ll be auctioned for AMADE, a childhood protection’s association founded by the princesse Grace of Monaco.

A limited edition watch has been especialy created for the circumstance by Hamilton and sold to raise funds for AMADE too.

This incredible dive will be aired on the Grand Prix’s giant screen through the race weekend.

Great pickup Brice! ThumbsUp02.gif  I really like the original design Hamilton comes with.  This is a unique and beautiful watch, I'm sure you will enjoy it for a while.  If you ask me, I prefer not to have city names on GMT's and I think that having independent numbers for the second time zone is way more practical...SO, great look, great value for the $$$, well done ! woohoo.gif

Thank you very much Brice for the reference to Operation Poseidon!!!!hand6.gif   I should have googled and researched it a bit myself and it would have all been made clear.

Makes this cool piece even cooler to me...great event and even greater cause...I think I'm feeling the enabler pressure squeeze even more!!!:D
