Guys

As some of you know, we celebrated US Christmas with family and friends in our house yesterday as we’ll be departing for France Friday and spend the holidays thereThumbsup3.gif... We’re due to return Jan 4th, so two Xmas for usJ (technically 3, as we’ll do it twice there)yahoo.gif  Lucky us! Ahah!

Anyway, I had a super super cool WIS present from my wonderful spouse and kids!;) They hooked me up with a beautiful white dial Hamilton Aviation Tachymiler (valjoux7750) on bracelet.yourock.gif

My sources tell me there may be more WIS gifts on the other side of the pond;) woohoo.gif

Obviously, I am a happy WIS!!! I could not size the bracelet with my tool so since I couldn’t wait any longer to wear (it did sit in our guest room closet for a couple of weeks, so I ID show some patience guys!!subtlelaugh.gif), I removed one of my fave leather strap from a Pro Diver and put in on the tachymiler… I gotta say, it looks pretty good even though it probably derserves something a little nicerJ I do love the combo though, I cannot stop looking at itJ I must say the Hami bracelet/clasp it came on is really nice and top notch quality as far as bracelet comes… Super nice So I’ll get it sized or get a new tool and try it on. In the meantime, I took some quick pics after chuch on our front porch as I prefer outdoors lighting.

I love the the case design, especially the side and lefty crown. I alos enjoy the contrast of the black belze. The two subdial and hands, 8 to 1 numerals make it distinctive enough, interesting to look at, and just enough red to make it pop without being tacky/overdone. It has some class to it. Finally the cool exhibition back lets you enjoy this smooth operator of a mvt! The watch wears fairly big but not too big for my girly 7” wrist on my 6’2” 230lbs frame!:) It wears very comfortable and is legible at all angles. Overall I just love it and wouldn’t change a thing! I ams super excited and very pleased.perfect.gif

Thanks for reading/lookingJ Happy Sunday all and God bless!ThumbsUp02.gif

Brice

Brice...Nice Pics and super big congrats!!!!

It is clear you are so excited that you accidently posted this in the Time Talk section instead of the New Arrivals section!!smile8.gifsnoopy1.gifanodie.gif

The Tachymiler is a very sweet looking and unique piece...ThumbsUp02.gif

Quick question, is that "Vr Rotation Speed" portion of the outside of the dial a second multi-level dial that can rotate internally or is it part of the crystal (silk/screened or coated onto the inner part of the crystal)?

Looks like a very versatile piece that looks fantastic on the strap or the bracelet.

Very cool piece...enjoy!!!

Hamilton's contemporary designs are great, and this is a good example, IMHO.

Congrats.  ThumbsUp02.gif

Thanks Chris, I don't know about the "nice Pics", I got no skills and use a held-together-by-tape point & shoot Cannon:) I swear its case is literally held by the same tape we used to wrap our Xmas presents insubtlelaugh.gif Anyway, the watch itself rocks, the dial and case are fairly unique indeed and maybe it's just photogenic!goofy

Are you serious, did i really post this in the wrong section??:) I apologize to the mods, I was indeed too excited to finally have pics to post my new arrivals!! I guess they've already moved my thread to the right section...thankyou.gif

As for the Vr rotation speed,  it appears to be in the crystal somehow or the under part...

Thanks for the kind words!

Brice

Thanks paxman, the dial had a lot to do with my pcking this Hami. I had not bought a chrono in many years, many... after my Breitling 20 years ago, I purchased a $75 nautica Chrono at the mall 10 years ago... other than that NO chrono though I used to love them.

This one got me back into chrono as it was a fairly unique dial setup and also a cool case/crown setup IMO..

Thanks again!

Brice
