I was last month on Place Vendôme in Paris: Those shops as you name are all there, showing up the greatest watch-pieces in the world. I guarantee you that Android open NO eyes there. Your statement is made of smoke and 100% made in China. There's a lot of people who know high-end watches and value in this forum: You just insulte them by speaking such words.

This is all my fault. Something inside me tried to convince me not to make this post, but I didn't listen. Now look what I've gone and done, created a disturbance on this great day. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Honnestly, you should not feel bad at all: I've learned a bunch since I'm here and we do all learn everyday. The point on 3T isn't to kill NBC brands, saying that the micro-brands represented here are best in all. The point is to buy what you love and buy it smartly: Not listening sellers who would sell fridges to Inuits... Listen to the ones who own middle-range and high-end Swiss/German made watches since long and who know when brands are overpriced or not. After all, we all want the best bang for the buks.

Now look what I've gone and done, created a disturbance on this great day.Mayface please don't feel this way...not a person said they didn't like your new Android and it is a great looking watch imho that will undoubtedly last a long time...my experience with Android has been great and I still own my very 1st Android that is 7 years old and running flawlessly...all were under $300. ...when Android 1st came around they offered some very unusual watches like the spit ball watch that actually had a catapult on it to shoot spitballs!...I will have to dig mine out and post a pic and I own one the very few automatic Hydro G5's that are still being made although slightly different and a favorite of my collection. ...rule of thumb from experience is to wait before buying on Slop as the prices always come down or you will find one at a much discounted price on a sales forum down the line...Slop operates on a persons mind with the value pay system that is very well thought out by professionals who know that the customer rarely ever looks beyond the 1st value pay which is always a lot less than the overall cost. ...look at what you are buying at Slop and say to yourself"would I buy this if I had to pay the full amount right now" and see if it doesn't change your mind about the purchase you are about to make. There are still some great deals on brand names to be had there but knowing what you are buying and researching the brand and costs is most important when making your decision....research is a WIS' best friend and knowing where and how to research is why we are all here. ...Enjoy your new watch and Welcome to 3T...you are undoubtedly one of the good guys imho and it is a pleasure to have you here!

No need to feel bad. We are all here voicing our opinions in a civil way... well for the most part until you get a Johnny-come-lately with a cock and bull story trying to help you out though you clearly don't need any help and are doing fine. So please have no worries. You see some of us shocked at the going rate on the timepiece but to a man we all agree that absolutely no one opinion matters except yours. Enjoy the watch and revel in the discussion. I'm clearing the area!

Mayface, we all buy what we like but want to do it with eyes wide open. That's the only message you should take from 3T. I wouldn't be defensive, no one is dissing your purchase. I am curious, after you read the comments did you do some independent research on the android?

G wrote: I am curious, after you read the comments did you do some independent research on the android? I don't feel that anyone more research is needed on my part. I'm happy with the purchase, and the discussions that we've had today have not changed that. I guess it's all subjective. Someone posted a picture last page of a watch with a 7750. That's a great movement, but I simply would not own that watch. So for me to pay $700 for a watch that has a 7750, but is not pleasing to my eye does not make any sense to me. Here I go again, I said I was not going here again.

MrMayface wrote:G wrote:I am curious, after you read the comments did you do some independent research on the android? Well, I can understand that you would not like this model with the 7750...No problem at all! I was just illustrating a 700$ possibility and there's many of them. My point was to present a reknown Swiss movement who has no more to prove on the watch-market, setted inside a great quality case with an outstanding finish. My point was to show how much watch you could have for the buks as this brand: Revue and Revue-Thommen been making watches for many years now and even with them own manufactured movements. You like the pilot style or not: Question of taste. But you can't deny that this slide-rule chrono model has a very correct price on this Ebay site... My point is that the Android watch can't offer as much in strong and constant value: It's just an economic point, nothing else... I don't spit on your watch: I just find it too expensive for what it offers. Cheers! Will
