Over the last couple of years Android has become my favorite watch brand. Just when I think I've got my last one for a while, Wing comes up with another great piece of art. This one came in on Friday and it's holds a special place in my heart already. It's my first number 1. Enjoy the pics Wrist shot with the matching tungsten bracelet Thanks for looking

Nice looking watch, and Android does make some happy1.giftimepieces. I saw that one on SNBC but was a little surprised at the price, with that Seagull Movement. I digress...enjoy the watch it's a very attractive piece

Congrats on a sweet Android! ...but as Tony said I was equally shocked at the price which is more in line with a Swiss chrono movement than a Asian Seagull ST19 imo...

Interesting looking timepiece though unreadable imho. I am ashamed to say I was curious as to the price so I actually went to SLOP and now I am just shocked. I understand this is Tungsten and skeletonized but the price was not in line with the heart of this watch. Despite my protestations the only important thing is that you like and enjoy the watch and based on your post I would say you are a happy camper. Remember, different strokes for different folks and you need to please only one person; yourself.

I don't understand how the price of this piece has folks surprised, but someone charging over $1k for a ETA 2824 doesn't raise any eyebrows. The ability to get the number 1 was also a huge factor for me. I have the Android tourbillon, so I knew Android would do this one justice.

I was warned many years ago just as I am warning you about the BS being spoken and now posted by those involved with Slopnbc...unfortunately the WIS who hold knowledge are for some reason the ones least listened to these days.jmho

It's just hard for me to grasp how it's ok to spend this kind of money on micro brands with lesser movements (looks say ETA 2824-2 for example)simple case and dial design. However a red flag comes up when you have a original designed case that is 100% tungsten, and a very nicely engraved skeletonized dial that is powered my a movement with a proven track record. Is it because their sold on Slop as it's called here(That's pretty funny)? Maybe I'm just thick headed. Please break it down for me.oagaspar wrote:it's a Seagull movement however it is named and may be called whatever but most of us know it as the ST19...great movement but not costly...

Oh well, truth be told, experience is the greatest teacher .. The owners of one of the largest high end retailers in the NY area ( the own several high end stores ) have seen the Virtuoso Tungsten. They studied it's construction, the movement and the overall design. The result: after studying Wing's newest creation, they pointed out to me that the price on this watch " defies Logic " and that it should be much more expensive. I understand opinion can be subjective and oftimes self serving, but, I prefer the word of those who earn their living and lots of dollars by selling the highest end swiss brands which many on this forum own. They consider Wing's Virtuoso line to be of extroardinary high quality and a significant buy at these prices. Enjoy the days !! MrETime

I think the point is buy what you you want because you are informed with the decision made. Do not fall for the hype during a TV presentation from a host, or producer of a watch, whose "only" job is to sell a product...period. As far as the micro-brand issue, I have no quarrel with you. Point here being is that when I go to sell a Miyota or ETA driven Android, I take a beating on it, yet these micro brands have a captive audience willing to spend hundreds more for seemingly the same product. Don't know why but something else I've learned in my 51 years....many time perception is more important than reality. JM2cents In any case, enjoy the watch and hopefully you will learn a few things from us and we from you.
