I think we all agree! Price is the main issue for sure.
That said after wearing it all day, I've enjoyed it and got compliments for my friend who was in the army. He loved the story and wanted one until... I told him the price! :)
It's too bad as it is a cool watch but apparently they have no problems selling them. The brown model by the way is beautiful!

I owned a Resco Patriot for about 1 month, purchased it on the secondary market and paid $900 for it. I liked the size and the dial/hand combo, but in the end it had too many rough edges from the low beat movement to the rough crown, to the bezel feeling tinny. I sold it for $900 so I didnt lose anything on it. Your observations are spot on in regards to the watch overall.

P.S.

I spent $1000 and picked up a Korsbek Oceaneer top grade 2892 and couldn't be happier with it.

I to picked up an Oceaneer with the awesome 2892, amazing dial and hands as well, well finished case.... for under $1000 a little while ago and that's why I bourght it up for comparison in my review:) The Korsbel is just so muc better for the $.
But I gotta say after wearing the patriot, there is just something about this watch that is just very appealing to the eye and it wears real nice. I got compliments to day on it from someone who is not a watch guy. It is a cool watch, too bad it is priced about 700-900 $ too high.

Thanks for the honest revew Brice. I do really like the look as well. Something very appealing and simple. But again it comes down to price to me as well. I had a Sinn U1 Sdr which I bought for the same price and that seemed to be a better value. Value is always a perceived thing though:).

Thanks for sharing you insight on this one Brice! Very good, to the point and honest (as the best reviews are)
Like the design, but it stops there for me.
Read a lot about it from the RESCO site, and didn`t buy it
(the arguments for the mvt OR the watchdog smile.gif)
And the price is a story of its own.

Thank you all. Appreciate the kind feedback! And additional info from those who chimed in and added their expertise.
As of last night it's traded and shipping out today for someone else to enjoy. I'm glad I gave it a go and am excited about the next piece coming!:)

Thanks for the review-this great looking piece has been on my radar as well but as a value junkie, I could never quite pull the trigger...

Thanks! It's a real cool watch and beautiful on the wrist indeed. Price is my issue as posted. I hear their next watches maybe have a Swiss mvt. Looking forward to pricing.
