I have the Black Sammi and it is a great watch.........I keep thinking about doing the mcwright "conversion"....and then question whether I want to keep the watch.  I love the orange and Blk Monsters, and the YM too, but, in fact, I actually prefer wearing my Yellow dial SKXA35 with the signature Oyster bracelet.  I have quite a few Seiko's and love them....my favorite being the ANA.:dude:

I have owned a few chunky swiss watches in the past...and I am in awe with this Samurai. The lume on this thing wants to scream in broad daylight.  I would say it appears a bitbrighter than my Monster. Also seems to glow for a longer period. I still prefer the feel of my monster bracelet, but all else is Samurai all the way. The dial has a surgical instument-like precsion to it. Very clean. One of the best watch purchases I have ever made. Especially whne you factor in the cost $137.00.  I have always been more about bang for buck, and I think this watch satisfies that criteria. I am no longer quick to buy the $3000 omega as I once was. My budget these days, does not support that approach. Got a 7 yr old that is growing and growing. ;-)

Thank you Seiko.

Hey Gaspar, I will be rooting for you on that Orange Ti Sammie search! That is a nice watch!

Sweet Sammi Eric. The quality shows. Enjoy!!

I've got an OM coming and after seeing this...well perhaps I need a Sammi!! I've had a trio of the Seiko 5 autos for awhile but they are too small after lugging around some 45mm chunk of SS. I am certain the OM will exceed expectations based on the glowing feedback everyone has for it, and I am now certain a Sammi would do the same...

Pokemanyu on the Bay??

Hey Pax, you are going to LOVE the BM.  You will no doubt eventually need a samurai. They are beautiful watches. A bit larger than the BM. :dude:

Have purchased many Seiko from pokemonyu...........quality dealer!

That said, I am certain the OM will exceed your exceeded expectations...there is nothing quite like holding a Seiko Monster for the 1st time and being overwhelmed by the value of it.  There are some who don't exactly like the case, but everyone raves about the bracelet and workmanship!

BIGGEST BANG FOR THE BUCK IN WIS-DOM!

I own both an OM and a Black Sammie. (as well as a 009, SKXA35, and a Landshark)

IMHO the Sammie has the edge
case wise and the monster has the edge bracelet wise.

Both watches would cost you dear if they were Swiss.

Here's a couple that go under the radar. The Limited PRODUCTION BLuM - too expensive for many - with not enough exclusivity. 7S36 with a sapphire crystal from the low to mid $300's and

Seiko Japan's ALBA LE 7S26 1-999 - neat looking watch - ALBA's first Auto-matic

photobucket seems to work on my end both at work and home. Try deleting your cookies.

The BluM does't get any wrist time - waiting to see if there is any collector value (right now - I don't think so) - as it is still in "limited Production". The Alba is in the same category - waiting to see if any collectors have an interest in a Seiko made yellow dial LE of 1000......
