The guy who runs Old North East Jewelers seriously knows his stuff when it comes to watches, Jeff Hess is his name. He had something to do with HSN when they tried to start a watch program years ago and has also written a book on the history of Rolex I believe. While there you are in St.Pete there go just a few blocks down the road to Central and I think 1st ave South (right across the street from the big Bank of America building) to Central Cigar. Its no Corona but its a neat little shop. I'mnot sure what kind of food you like but I can offer a few suggestions. If you like Spanish food there is a great place just a little bit up 4th street (4th St and 40th AVE I think) called Pepin's. If seafood is what you seek go either right down the street to the Pier or if you want the best smoked fish you will ever eat take a little trip over to Ted Peters. If you want the best Grouper sandwich you will ever put in your mouth then go out to the Hurricane on St. Pete Beach. If you want I can give you directions to any of these places. Have a fun trip. St.Pete is a beautiful old city steeped in history and the arts. If you have time to kill there are several museums in the downtown area that are quite interesting to visit. Anyways I'll quit babbling and bragging on my hometown. Have a fun trip and be safe!

Congrats again Steve. Your Mad Cow is one sweet watch. I have only seen the black dialed one in person and was very impressed, but after seeing you pics of your white dial, I must say it looks great also. Maybe a white dialed watch should make its way into my colllection. BTW, your lume pic is just awesome.hand6.gifhand6.gif Len

Thanks Len... I had only seen the black dial in the flesh also, but the pics I saw of the white one and those blued hands sealed the deal for me... hand6.gif Len S wrote: Congrats again Steve. It was a nice roadtrip... unfortunately, they changed the date of the museum tour without telling anyone, but I did get to check out all of the Balls I wanted to and walked away with a rubber strap for my EMII diver. Also saw some very cool Franck Muller watches. Had to beat it back to Orlando before dinner time, so couldnt check out the cigar shop or restaurant this time. But will be heading back in the near future (they had a Hammy I am seriously considering, so may go for it).. ;) Teak wrote: So how was the trip down to St. Pete??

I'm still debating whether I should get the green Ball. Perhaps I'll enjoy my Zeno for now before I jump into another watch. I'm so used to wearing the same watch day in and day out -- something that some of you apparently don't do. This means, of course, I'll need a watch winder very soon!

Great looking watch! I understand that the bracelets are great, but I do like how it looks on the strap
