Here in Western Washington most years by now it is just loads of rain and sometimes is nice Spring time weather. For the past several days here we have had a  jump back to Winter. Right now it is snowing here. Yea so crazy. But very beautiful. :)

How about your neck of the woods so to speak?

Well Skip I think you are opening a can of worms. As the forums damn near only liberal I just am going to point out that once a month we have a post regarding how "crazy" the weather is...

Then I make a comment on how it just might be resaonable to assume our global climate is changing...

Now you can all pile on and laugh...

Who will be laughing 25 years from now? None of us I am afraid.

Have at it boys!

About the weather:

It's raining in Vancouver just 2 hours drive from Bellingham.

About the Paxman's statement...I'm afraid he's right.

Hay Pax the topic keeps surfacing for we love to see your view and then have fun picking on you. I guess they can pick on me too. something I have been following along with for over 20 years and do see a obvious set of events showing mother nature ain't to happy. :?

I'm not convinced. Their's 2 sides to that story, and both have very valid points. As far as the weather goes here, it's pretty damn near 100 already. Mostly in the high 90s, but has hit a 100 a couple of times. To throw fuel on the fire, I'm told it's getting HOT a tad early this year:).

Argue all you want, but there is no denying that the Polar caps are melting and the world's glaciers are retreating. That our planet is warming is a fact. The causes may be debateable but "the times they are a changen!":?:?:?

It's the cause I'm not convinced about. Not what's actually happening in the world today.

The thing is that world leaders and the scientist are not pointing out well enough that there is a whole host of causes natural and man made. And it is nothing new if you take a close look at geological history. The Media has just hyped it up and in the wrong way. :?

Still, without being political, if there are things we can do to help delay the trend torward warming, why not? To continue consuming the earth's resources at a reckless rate robs our children and only enriches those who already are consumed by greed. The battle in the Mideast is about more than religion or tribalism. Its also about who will controll our dwindling resources. Its Time for some Tech Talk about alternatives to fossil fuels.

Agree 100% Edgel. The Tech is here now to change it. It is the greed getting in the way. :?
