Awesome Mark! My little girl just turned 5 last week. But despite Ken's prediction, she ALREADY has an attitude problem. I hope she's getting all of her teen angst out of her system before she actually becomes a teen, but I'm not holding my breath!

Thanks for all the well wishes! Today we'll have her party. A Dora themed fiesta in the backyard. I'll be working the grill and hopefully the weather holds or we are in the garage. As for the attitude. Kira will throw a hand on a hip and let anyone know how it is. If that doesn't work she'll put both hands on hips and let it rip with the full chicken head just like a true sista would. I am frightened what this will turn into when she gets into those teenage years!! Thanks again 3T family!

As always no birthday in the family is complete without what my kids call "days of celebration". Today we had a party for Kira's birthday and this has sort of become a neighborhood cook-out with other mischief to be be had. My genius wife thought a water balloon toss followed by an all out squirt tube fight would be a good way to cap off Kira's B-day party. It sure was... no photography was permitted as this quickly became a wet t-shirt contest for the neighborhood moms!  My wife is bloody brilliant and she doesn't even know it! :DPlenty of brats, burgers and dogs as I manned the grill. Kira had a great time. We all ended up soaked! Unfortunately the sun hid today and we even had some light showers but that didn't stop us... Kira and her cousin Sophie (Sophia). Sophie is 20 days older than Kira.  My son James and his cousin William (bushy hair) and Nicholas. Nicholas is 7 weeks older than James. William is named for my late grandfather.  Kira kicked major butt in the sack race and won her heat despite a major wipe out which she popped up from and finished!  Birthday booty!!  A little cake for the birthday girl..  Paxman working the pinata.  A gruesome crew-some!! There were a number of little piglets who wouldn't be deterred from their cake for the picture.
