Willieboy wrote: Where in Vietnam did you serve Ken? Everywhere from VC Island near Saigon, north to the "Thunders" at An Loc, Qaun Loi & Loc Ninh, east to Nui Bha Rha Mountain, Song Be in Phuoc Vinh...and west to the Fish Hook and the Parrot's Beak (oh surely, I was never in Cambodia ;)), and the usual Iron Triangle, Tapazoid, Micelin Rubber Plantation... Did a recon stint and commanded an Infantry Company with the Big Red One.

I wanted to be an Astronaut as a kid, until my teacher told me it took a lot of math. I had a lot of difficulty with that subject and decided to be something different. I just haven't figured out what yet:?:D. Space travel still fascinates me. Maybe that's why I'm such a SciFi buff.

I was good with general math and science but the upper stuff did me in. But can you imagine a Dawg in space. Scary. LOL :D

I've never told you guys why my handle is Murphy. My friends at work started calling me that, because I have the uncanny ability to find ways to break the oddest things at the worst possible time and place. Now imagine that in space:D.

Scary interesting indeed. They're pretty sure that if anyone can find a way to break a bowling ball, it's me. And not take long to do it:D. Last edited on Thu Jul 17th, 2008 03:19 pm by murphy j |

Some physical problems would have kept me out also. Like having to take meds for asthma and having to wear glasses. I can only dream of the day that regular civilians can go into space. hopefuly I live long enough.
