Some of you may have noticed that I havn't posted or been on the forum for the past several days. Well, Tuesday night after watching the Olympics, I went to bed about midnight. I began to feel some pretty severe heartburn so I got up and took an antiacid. That didn't heip any at all; in fact it got worse. I decided to call 911 and a squad came to check me out. The EKG looked OK but they decided to transport me to the ER anyway. Five minutes after arriving at the hospital, I coded and they had to start CPR and shocked me twice. I was gone for 3 minutes before being revived. I had a very vivid "dream" while dead but came to with a nurse standing over me asking if I knew what had happened. I thought I had only been dreaming and didn't know anything they had been doing to revive me. I was immediately taken to the heart cath lab and a double stent was put in to repair a 100% blockage to my circumflex coronary artery.
I recovered quickly and came home last night. I would have to say that "time" has a new meaning to me after the experience but I am sure glad I am able to post with my buddies once again.

Edge ol buddy it is good to hear that they got it in time .... your experience would be of great interest to me as I am a believer that there is something else .... 3 minutes is a long time to be "gone" .... I am sure that you wont be taking time for granted anymore, eh ?

Wow, one hardly knows what to say, except I'm glad your back home.  It's a good thing you reacted as you did and called 911.  If you haven't heard it yet, I'm sure you will...diet and exercise are really important.

Glad you're back with us Edgel.

Many thanks, guys. It is great to be back home and keeping up with everything happening here at my 3T home. And CJ, I now am convinced there is something else. A private call some time would be the best way to explain it.

Last November my Mom flat lined for 2 minutes. She says the same thing. Convinced there is something more. She had always been religious but had her doubts now she says the doubts are gone.

My dad was right there the whole time too. Scared the heck out of him. I had never heard him say he was scared of anything before.

Maybe I should put 911 on speed dial. Living alone if something were to happen it could be days before someone figured it out.

Mom also said her's felt like a real bad case of heart burn. What a reality check huh?

If you have a cell phone, program one of the easy ones  (like 1, 5 or 9) for 911...then make sure the GPS is on!

Thanks Ken. I have it on the home phone and now thanks to you just added it to the cell phone too. GPS is on. ;) Surprised I had never thought to do that before. :)
