this is our new dog "Blue" actually my daughter calls him Tucker which is Australian for food....he can do some eating :D....he is six weeks old and a Blue Heeler...a breed of Australian cattle dog hand6.gif....I couldn't wait to pick him up and so far he has been a great pup yahoo.gif

he seems to be a real quick learner and was great in the truck on the way home....1.5 hour ride from where I picked him up....he just slept in my daughters lap hand6.gif....our 2 cats aren't warming up too quick though subtlelaugh.gif

What a great looking pup O.  perfect.gifMy buddy has a blue heeler and its a great dog.  All of the herding dogs are smart. Now the fun starts with the house training.   Hope you have many years of great companionship.  happy1.gif

He'll be extremely smart, fiercely loyal, very protective of your daughter and family, and no doubt a bit mischievious as well. Herding dogs need a "job" or they get themselves in trouble.  Our Border Collie mixes decided one day to eat the couch because they were bored.  We wanted to replace that couch anyway mistake.gif

You should see our dining room table and chairs.  Looks like a beaver got at them after Shelby was done with it. Also, remember this...



 You are right, hearding dogs need a job or they will go nuts.  I have Shelby keeping an eye on the rabbits and groundhogs on the property so that keeps her occupied.
