me likey!
My first car at 18 was a Mini, 71 model, black, wood dash and a peppy DeTomaso Innocenti engine transplanted in it..! Not the most reliable thing:) but I did have fun with it, like a go kart! Took a "round point" (round about) on two wheels with it:)

This car bites fast if you you lift the clutch and rev's high. (stick shift)
Only 105 break horse but when it hits the high revs it goes and wide wheels and lower than normal I can whip it round a corner fast and it sticks.
It is nothing special but its fun to drive and faster than your average car here with great cornering.

Cool you have a picture of your old car?
This takes a round about but stays glued to the road

Like most car companies,MG has made huge strides since
the days of the MG Metro back in the 1980's.

The styling of the ZR does resemble that of
a Peugeot when viewed from the back.

Who cares what automotive journalists think,
to me this is a cool car.

Cheers,
Simon

Cool, NeoThumbsUp02.gif.

Brice, your first car a Mini? Wow, you were so lucky. Mine was a 1965 VW Beetle with the loudest Empi mufflers in the neighborhood.bamby.gif

Thanks Mark, I have kept it factory standard so have changed nothing on it. It is as it came.

My 1st foreign car was a 1959 MG-A, white with red leather, complete with inaudible radio and silver wire wheels...brand new at $1900 back in the day!  Totaled it into a tree as I ran out of room on a very tight turn...Dad was not a happy camper, but I had paid for it myself.  As I recall, State Farm paid off and I got a brand new 1960 MGA, light blue, black leather, radio and wires...lasted me through college!
