You seriously need a spread sheet to monitor the pricing that slop throws out on their watches "on sale"!

Buying a watch from them is like spinning the roulette wheel!

You can rationalize that you wanted the particular watch anyway, and it was $200 more at full retail, BUT................

.......you just have to have a cold chill run up your spine when you see the same "will sell out in the preview!" watch a month later and it is discounted another $100!

I guess their philosophy is that most buyers are there one time and probably won't be watching regularly. Or maybe their "philosophy" is what we suspected all along.................

"Screw em".....................there's another one on line 3 !"

I watch the previews MUTED and NEVER look at the price because I know that at some point during show the price will drop..........wait a month or for the next "big" day, and it gets lower.

Wait until Christmas and you get it for $59.99 with Value Pay! rah!  I feel for the poor slobs who won't learn this until they've been royally screwed.  I've reached the point where I even doubt the retail price they show.

How different it seemed when that vendor first appeared on the scene........who would have thought?

Wonder if that one splendid brand is still being given to stars and entertainers in their gift bags.  I believe your final sentence is the true one.

A month after the last Hollywood awards extravaganza Nvicta watches started showing up on some of the best "street" folks walking the alleys off Rodeo Drive!

It did not appear that the true"value" of the gifted timepieces was being felt!

Luckily most of the "street" individuals were out of free minutes on their Blackberries when the watch stopped working and it needed repairs. Gawd knows how they would have responded to the ever famous Customer Service presented when attempting to contact this illusive outfit.

ONLY IN HOLLYWOOD!!

:shock::shock::shock:

Sir--You have a certain way with words that boggles the mind.   value, victa--value, victa--well, at least it rhymes.

Perhaps 1.  Victa's won't be freely given any more.    2.  is there REALLY a CS, or is it just a recording from some garage?

They've overplayed their hand and should fold up their tents and silently depart the scene.  BUT, what happens to their best friend in MN--has a plethora of names, I've heard/read.

BTW:  some chick on ShopAtHome did a 2 hr. show of Activa......told the viewing audience "they were made by Invicta--you all know THAT name--for those of us who cannot afford the thousands to get the real McCoy!"  The most expensive piece was $23!  And, to quote again, "it's just so cute, isn't it?"

arf-bay

Eeyore is barfing all the way to The Bank of Israel buddy!

"Never underestimate the ambivalence and stupidity of a man watching home shopping at 2:00 in the morning!"

"Or the inane gullibility of Nancy Housewife while between episodes of her favorite "soaps"!

You would think after repeated shows selling watches, some modicum of real horological knowledge would simply be acquired by the host, even if just by OSMOSIS!

Want horological knowledge, do you?  Here goes:  host of show told viewers that he'd been taught by the experts all about watches so he could do the shows.  And, "here was some exciting news he could pass on.

"When the part that goes around your wrist is made of leather or some material, it is called a strap.  If it is made of metal, it is called a bracelet.  I didn't know that, did you?"

Now, how do you like that for real horological knowledge?  I all but parc-ed my pants!  Sadly, you're right about the influx of money to the bank.  Those who admire him and think him hot stuff (along with CG, et al) make excuses for everything.

TT, quite frankly, was my tutor......happened across him by chance and was mesmerized by the info he passed on about a watch he was showing.  'til then, I had but one watch!  Then, the sickness crept in.

However, when he left that place, I quit watching his pseudo-fill-in after one show.  Will now shut up.  Your last Vote For blew my mind--which isn't saying all that much about my mind. :D

invicta is derived from the word victim.  there philosophy is there is a victim ever minute to be had.  i am waitin for the movado like invictas.  at least with that one you would not have to worry about the second hand falling off.  hehehe.

Yeah.

I've always subscribed to the minimalist theory, but with nvicta, they manage to minimize EVERYTHING from the quality, to the customer, to the designs they steal.

If Eeyore thought for even a second that he wouldn't have to pay for legal counsel, he would have his design team (Hector, Benjamin and Trini Lopez, Jr.) produce a Movado look alike in the heart beat of a Miami minute!

But unfortunately, every time another unsuspecting consumer stumbles upon nvicta, they prove "US" incorrect by sending their dollars to Hallandale. Until either saturation or utter greed takes over (the family sells the business), the Lalo tribe will prosper as they cash the checks from slopnbc.

Oh well..........................what ju gonna do?
