I went thru hell, not to mention the childish admonishments of others (who shall go un-named:D) when my computer "blew up".....................that said, I finally upgraded to XP Pro, one of the advantages being that I could download and use IE7/2 Internet Explorer 7, Version Beta 2).

It is very Firefox-like without all of the associated Mozilla problems............try it....you'll like it! :dude:

What's to keep ours/mine from crashing, a la yours?  The horrors of fixing a crash are outweighed by the XPPro?  I do not want your personal experience, sir.   :?  :)

the crash had nothing to do with XP Pro..............it was coincidence that my hard drive failed in the middle of the upgrade installation....I had upgraded 2 other the same day without problem..................

The famous "they" say there's no such thing as coincidence.

Can a neophyte handle it?  :?   Having only certain pics backed up, the thought of a crash is beyond a nightmare.........

Why do you think I'm a little tank, a diamond flush, a Fiat, a flag, et al--a crash did me in once....:)

Safari. I have been using it for quite awhile. Recently, I have switched to Firefox. It lets me view sites such as this one with more of its features available. Safari doesn't always want to load some pages. Oddly, Firefox won't open links within dealmac.com (a site I visit often). So, I keep going back and forth. :)
