Sorry for my late arrival to this party.

I don't own one of the "shake & bake" lights, but after all these responses and posts it appears that most of us have the same addictive hobby with these Surefire lights.

I have gone nuts as usual and have been mounting them on most of my guns also!

My daughter was sitting in my chair in the TV room yesterday and picked up the Surefire I keep on the side table and remarked.."You have more toys than anyone I have ever seen."

I told her it wasn't a "toy"................it was my VERY neccessary emergency light for when the power fails!  She replied................"Yeah..................but you have these all over the house!"  I am PREPARED!

What can I say?  Darn things have gotten EXPENSIVE though!

Anyone into SILENCERS?:cool::cool::cool:

Anyone into SILENCERS?:cool::cool::cool:

Only the ones that actually work and do not throw the group off zero to much.  Most suck and while tightening the group pull it off one way or the other.  That and most only last 1000 rounds at best and that is not many when training often.

They do help when trying to appease the neighbors and STILL kill that damn red headed woodpecker which has eaten about $200 of my deck this summer!

I hit him with my 22 Magnum loaded with snake shot, but he just laughed at me and flew off. I have my .410 sitting on the shelf waiting for the smart arse to return!

:P:P:P

This bird is LARGER than one of my dachshunds and has to weigh 12 pounds or more!

I am NOT kidding!

Cheeps this is what I use them on, the threads on the tactical and the Mark 23 are diff..  They must have some thing invested in the suppressor mauf. to not make them the same.  Getting a compensator for the tactical as soon as I find the right design.  I have bought my last watch for a while and will start looking, and only got it to see if I was right about Oceanaut and Nisimov.

Ahh yes.....................the truly high end H & K products!

Way too much overkill for my "little" woodpecker  :P, but I love those desert tan looks on these. The color just seems to fit the gun.

I kind of waundered away from .45 when I bought my 1st S&W Shorty Fourty 10 years ago. The .40 SW seems to fit my sensitivities a tad better.  I just sold my last 10mm Colt Gold Cup to a collector in Kentucky. He drove up as far as Putnam County and I met him there. I think he was from Bowling Green too. Go figure.??:shock:

I have never used a suppressor/silencer for anything short of keeping the noise down a bit while around other eyes and ears that might decide to get nosey. Of course if I get caught with one of the darn things it will take a month of Sundays to talk my way out of THAT mess!

;);)

Due to harmonics and speed the 45 is easy and effective to suppress.  I still have a lot of hearing loss due to enough of them going off in inclosed spaces during training.
