I just received this new custom yellow and black strap from Survival Straps (http://www.survivalstraps.com). As you can see it is made from 550 parachute cord and I selected the colors with my Seiko in mind. I know it is a rather bold statement but so is a bright yellow dial.woohoo.gif I placed my order on a Saturday and received my strap on the next Friday and I am extremely pleased with this strap. The strap was easy to install and it is very, very comfortable; I would definitely recommend buying one! hand6.gifhand6.gif Another really nice feature about this company is that they donate a portion of their proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Foundation, very cool. The unique and very cool looking buckle (IMHO) really add to the uniqueness of this strap. woohoo.gif

Thanks Nabco, Pax and Oagaspar for the kind words. I too was confused when I placed the order so I immediately sent them an email with two additional measurements. They were the distance between pins in both inches and millimeters and the strap width (lug width) measurement. The next day I received an email from them telling me they understood what size strap I would need. :) I hope you can see from my photos that the fit is "spot on". Oagaspar, I ordered the regular width for my 22mm Seiko but I would order a "wide" for the 24mm. Paxman, I can understand your point of view; my wife was stunned that her 49 year old husband ordered a "surfer strap". All I have to say for myself is that I guess I never really grew up. yourock.gif Gentlemen, I hope this helps and didn't confuse you even more. I feel it is worth the trouble measuring the watch because I really like my surfer strap a great deal. hand6.gifhand6.gif P.S. I paid $27.70 for my strap to include postage, in my opinion I got a great deal! Last edited on Mon Jul 6th, 2009 07:24 pm by stormin13 |
