I like it, but I think I still prefer it on that Kain you had it on in the original photos. That's a really sweet watch, bro. Do you have any rubber straps to try out?

Hi watchdaddy!

I am a fan of both the CX-4, and of mesh generally. What works with this one is that the brushed finish of the mesh bracelet is a match for the case of the Crux, and the blanks on each lug-end of the bracelet are a good match for the width of each lug. Nice~!

What does NOT happen with mesh, is "sweat marks". All of mine on mesh get aired during summer, and I often revert to leather straps in winter when the likelihood of marking the straps is less.

I agree with my WIS mates -  the Kain and the Heroic are both excellent choices for the Crux, too (as is everything that O has tried on his!!) ~ but IMHO this is a very classy change-up.

Wear in health and enjoy!

That looks great.

On that particular mesh bracelet:  I don't like mesh to have a fat solid end link like this one.  Somehow it distracts from the mesh itself - almost becoming a focus point in itself.  The mesh without any end links - using the wire itself for this purpose - is my preferred style.  Of course that is just my personal opinion.  I have some different styles, so have had the chance to compare side by side.

I like it, but like Graham, I would have go for the wire lug part: That's what I've done with my Kaz.1500 and I like the result... It lighten the lugs and makes the watch-case coming up.

William, somehow that particular mesh pattern and color doesn't do it for me. I can't put a handle on it but it somehow looks too formal for the Crux. Just my opinion, amigooh my.gif

I agree with the rest........the leather straps you tried before were the best for the Crux.

For what it's worth; I thought the leather looked great on that one.

William, I'm probably in the minority regarding this specific type of mesh with the steel band at the lugs, but IMO...IF your going with mesh on the very serious, beefy, tool-of-a-case, CRUX then I think this type of mesh (with the thick steel band at the end link) works very well as I think this type of mesh somehow looks more toolish and balances out the more toolish/beefy cases out there (all IMO).

I agree with Graham's comment above in general regarding mesh bracelets like this and most watches that I myself would consider wearing a mesh on maybe aren't as brute (in a very good way) as the CRUX.  Now keep in mind I don't consider myself a huge mesh fan in general, but I've been coming around to them more lately after experiencing one on my Kazimon 1500.

All that being said, the mocha dial and vintage markers of the CX-4 dial screams out to be on a sweet vintage leather strap IMO (and I absolutely love the combinations you have shown it on with the Heroic18 followed by the Kain - those are SWEET combinations!!!)thumbsup.gif

This mesh may actually look better on the CX-1 or CX-3 CRUX dials.  But what do I know???

I love it on leather...oh and also a leather strap looks better on your Crux...oh the innuendos.
I like the mesh but leather style for me.

Take care

Neo
