Hi 3T,

Just wondering what your comments/experiences are about Isofrane rubber straps. I'm looking at getting me the 22x22 rubber straps with diver extensions in both black and orange. I might get the PVD buckles in retro both for my Marine Masters. The original Seiko rubber straps are too rigid for me.

Are these Austrian silicone-free straps really that good? Their prices (US$139 each) are really way up there and I'm just curious if they're really worth it. Your comments appreciated before I finalize my options. TIA!thumbsup.gif

I can't comment directly Jeff...as I've never experienced one in the flesh.  Owners seem to be very happy with and swear by the strap though!

I've been thinking about trying one out myself here recently...and it is nice that the Isofrane will be available in both 24mm and 22mm lug widths.  I've seen some great pics of an Isofrane on a pvd Marine Master, and it looked good....really good...probably one of my favorite combos for the Emperor.thumbsup.gif

subtlelaugh.gif Emperor? Don't let the Sheriff read thatbamby.gif.

Thanks for the quick reply, Chris. I was trying to visualize what the MMs would look like on the Isofrane's and that orange version with retro PVD buckle is really neat. They will also issue the blue one soon and for your Blue Ring, I think it would look super. Decisions. Decisionscrap.gif

would I spend $139. on a rubber strap?...maybe as an alternative to a signed strap that may cost upwards of $400.+ like the Plop,Pam or Breitling rubber but unlikely I would for much else...I picked up a couple of the Timefactors retro straps in 20 & 22mm that are extremely comfortable at a fraction of the price for which I can put up with some occasional dust settling considering the price...dog smile.gif

Jeff...just for reference, here is my Orsa Sea Viper on the 22mm Timefactors retro strap that Oscar so nicely referenced above.

No doubt that these are very comfy and soft and the price is great! (with the downside being they do attract dust and lint quite easily).

The Timefactors strap is available in a regular (non-flat ends) version, and a flat ends version.  I have both...I'm tending to prefer the regular version for really filling in the lug gap, but the flat end versions work really well if you are trying to work with a watch that has really short lugs (I have the flat-ends version on my Seiko Orange Monster...really short lugs...and it fits perfect).

Here is the Sea Viper on the 22mm "regular" version...

Oscar beat me to it but I would have posted the same answer!
I would not spend that much money on it for sure even though I'm sure the rubber quality is top notch. I also have three of the Retro rubber straps from Eddie at Timefactors in 20 and 22mm flat and rounded lug end(with tubes), and at 25$ they rock, hard to beat!!! Great quality. They do grab dust a bit but nothing outrageous. I currently have one on my Sinn U1and one on my Breitling Jupiter Pilot. I highly recommend them.
Good luck!
