Hucky sent me a sample of his bronze pre-v which arrived today and it is absolutely awesome!...the bronze is a near match to my slightly patined' Moray...it averages 5mm thick with an equally as thick screw bar(thickest I've seen) that holds in the tang itself...overall it is over-built and that is a good thing and the way I have known Hucky to build his buckles. He made me a silver skull & rose buckle a couple years ago that is equally built and I would say both will last forever!
....the bronze pre-v gives the B-Mo that "look" I felt was missing with the ss/buckles and all I can say is I hope Hucky decides to build more of his awesome buckles here in the very near future....(I have been pressing him steadily for a couple years)...I don't know what he intends on price but whatever he decides will be well worth it imho....below I mounted the pre-v on a Jeanna (Stone Creek) "Caramel" strap...

Very cool Oscar...Thumbsup3.gif

Incredible looking construction in that Bronze buckle design and finish!!!!  That is a HOT one!!!  wowzer.gif

That buckle combined with that incredible Caramel strap from Jeanna at Stone Creek is a perfect match with the B-Mo...Very nicely done!!!thumbsup.gif   (is that a drop of hot glue I see temporarily holding that buckle screw in place?).

that isn't glue...it's the end of the SS screw bar which is threaded...the entire buckle including the SS threaded screwbar are 100% hand made...been wearing it all day while at the theater watching James Camerons new 3D flick "Sanctum" and it wears very comfortably..the screwbar is very thick and more than secure...I wouldn't worry about it backing out on it's own for sure!...I 've asked Hucky to make more and he will announce his intentions to produce more asap...ThumbsUp02.gif

Neat combo, Oscar. I think the buckle is a perfec match andd even if a shade or 2 darker or lighter, will still carry a great patina going forward. Who knows.....after s several months, both case and buckle will match perfectly.

Ah, got it Oscar (it was an illusion based on how I was thinking the bar was attached)...that is one beefy screw for sure!!!thumbsup.gif

Very sweet indeed...I would not mind picking up a couple bronze buckles myself!!!

Enjoy that combo!!!
