William/Hammerfjord enabled me on my quest for some bracelets and here they are. I got 2 mesh bracelets for my Seiko FieldMaster and my Seiko Sumos. My Fieldmaster currently is on a 22mm mesh that I crimped with my fingers to fit the unusual 21mm lug widths of the case. But I thought maybe a more "liberal" mesh with a 20 to 20.5mm width would fit the FieldMaster better thus the purchase. The other bracelet is for my Pam 88, the GMT, whose high polished case will match the after market bracelet perfectly. I've seen a few Paneristis do this so I guess I wanted to do it too---switch from leather to steel. What I like about the bracelet is the curved lug width which effectively kills the unsightly gaps created when a straight edge bracelet's lug is used. I'll let the pictures do some of the talking. Thanks for looking.

RussellB wrote:need to get me a mesh one, lovely You won't regret it, RusselB. I have 6.5" wrists. My mesh that are made in Germany by way of Canada, are quite long and I had to dremmel them down by about 3 link lengths. The mesh links are just in the drawer. I got them many months ago. The latest mesh arrivals that are made in Hongkong are purposely sold as "ultra short" and there is no need for any dremmeling or shortening. It can be used straight out of the packaging and can be adjusted via the spring bar holes inside the buckles. Get some. It will be a very, very long while until mesh loses its appeal and utility. And they're available in PVD, too.

Great looking bracelets, Jeff! As you know, I'm a huge mesh fan. The are indeed timeless, as you say. Enjoy!

I'm now on the prowl for a bronze mesh....if ever that's at all possible. I've been warned by a few that a bronze buckle might or may leave a green "stain" on the skin as it reacts with the skin and surrounding moisture and humidity....so how much more if a mesh bracelet in bronze is worn? If I can find a bronze mesh though, heck, it goes straight to my Gauge Last edited on Mon Apr 11th, 2011 07:26 am by bigrustypig |

It sure will leave its mark. I wear copper bangles on a regular basis, and they sure leave their mark! (folklore would have you believe it has medicinal value!)

Bronze+sweat=Green skin...That's the copper in the alloy Jeff and there's nothing to do. If you live by the sea, it gets even worst. Personally , I live 15 meters away from the sea and I guarantee you that I barely need salt on my fries Last edited on Mon Apr 11th, 2011 11:15 am by Hammerfjord |
