You know me, Martin... I am all in for the orange dial. I agree with the others. There are many black dials out there and to me Orsa has been known for producing some sweet dial colours.

I like that hands though I do agree the minutes hand could use a little more heft. However as it is now is super functional as it runs well into the chapter ring/flange. a lumed second had would be a nice touch too as Wallace has said. Lume on this baby should be blazing.

I love it Martin! December is only six months away!!:D

Berg,

Great Job, nice styling, I like the case design.
I prefer the Blue dial with colored hands. I think the Black dial will detract from the "WOW Factor" you always strive to bring with each design.
I really do not like the Oyster bracelet, I find it boring, even a jubilee would be nicer or a Watchadoo, but the switch can be done later.
I don't know about the case finish, I would have to see real pictures of the difference between a polished and blasted version of the watch...maybe even a LE PVD (in the future).

Anyways, hope I've helped. Can't wait until December, perfect Christmas present to myself.

Very nice Martin, I would agree with the others, stay away from the black dial, orange and/or blue would be a better choice.

Any info on movement, price point, etc?

The movement is going to be the Eta 2824-2 as Martin stated here. ;)

Orange dial should be first.  Its a Diver, isnt it?  I also have tons of black dials and dont really care much for blue so Im being selfish here.  BTW, I use my dive watches more in the winter months on trips to the Islands than I do in the summer.

I LIKE the hands but add lume to the seconds hand.  Only thing Im a little ambivalent about on my lithium Sea Angler is the hands.  Personal taste there I guess.

Bracelet looks OK but is just a little boring.  What kind of clasp does it use?

Martin --

I have a Yellow Monstrum which is an outstanding wonderful design, from the huge domed crystal, to the incredible detailed cast case back, to the beautiful / colorful retro dial.

I would suggest that you build on the success of the Monstrum and carry over some of the highly successful design elements to the Sea Viper.

The Sea Viper case is excellent, so too the 500 mm rating, crown location, SS band -- all great.  But the watch as a whole looks like just another sports / diver.  I don't see anything that sets this apart from or makes it an ORSA?  Your ORSA blue Monstrum sold out and is highly sought after.  ORSA green is beautiful.  I just don't see any of the retro, colorful, creative ORSA energy in the drawings below.  Again, I think that the case is excellent and is a great starting point for another ORSA classic.  Hope I am not being too critical.

Just the for the sake of discussion and feedback, try showing the Sea Viper with a modified blue or green ORSA dial and see what reaction you get from the 3T community.

Here is the Sea viper with the classic oyster ss band . i decided again to put the crown at 4hr because its very comfortable . the bezel is coated with pvd and the numbers will be filled with paint.

please give me your comments , i am still undecided on the dial color , since the watch will be ready in december , i was thinking more in a black dial with colored  hands , the blue  and orange dial as more '' summer '' look , what you guys think?

Berg

Hi Berg-

Here's a vote for BLUE. By the way, what is the expected lead-time? I'm gonna need some time to soften up the wife.

Regards,  Greg

I have to agree with the others. There are too many black dialed divers out there. The orange and blue sounds good to me. However, I would like to see a different color for the minute hand and/or the second hand as well. I think it would really make the dial awesome. As for the bracelet, I am not too keen on the oyster. Whatever you decide, make sure the bracelet is meaty. As thick as the case is a wimpy bracelet would not look right. Maybe offering an extra strap so we can change looks would be a nice touch.

Congrats on a winner Berg, I'm definitely in for one of these!!

there will be 6 colors total when all is done 50 of each as Berg stated but I am with the classic blue and orange dials for the start as these 2 colors have been the most sought after by Orsa collectors and classic Orsa imhohand6.gif

Oscar -- thanks for the info... I am sure the finished product will look better than the drawings.  I was hoping to see something more like a Monstrum dial, retro funky.

Martin -- I borrowed this pic from someone who just scored this beautiful ORSA MONSTRUM.  IMO you've got a trademark look going on with the dial and hands, not sure why you would not want to continue a similar look with the SEA VIPER ?BERG
