Hello everyone:
Great informative forum, I am new here and am thinking of pulling the trigger on a "Silver Surfer" Swiss made Sea Angler. I was wondering what these retailed for, I don't want to get ripped off.

Very striking watch, as all the Orsa offerings seem to be ...

Keep up the great work !!

Best regards, Ross

Warm welcome to 3T, Rosshand6.gif

I don't own an Orsa but I have been seeing lots of it posted on 3T and owners seem to be very pleased with the brand.

Hi Arco,

sorry for my bad english!!

First I had a green monster, afterwards an orange black one.

Later an orange ETA automatic pro diver arrived, three weeks ago I shopped an blue quarz pro diver (thank you teddyhanna :-) !! Must pay only duty :-(  )

But then, at the same time with blue pro diver an honest Dutchman sold to me the SILVER SURFER ETA AUTOMATIC, limited, absolutely cool

Since then I know what sea angler can be: the absolutely coolest watch at the wrist. Photos still conclude.

A lot of luck with the hunt for the Silver surfer. You need not only money but luck.

Peter

Welcome to 3T Ross, looking forward to your participation.

The Orsa collection is one of the best buys for your money out there.   The retail price of a sold out watch really does not matter, what they are going for now it the most important thing.

I would recommend searching the sales forums on the different watch forums, including 3T, that will give you a great idea of what they sell for today based on condition.

Good luck on your search, it is one of the things i enjoy most of this hobby, figuring out what you want and then finding it.

In my opinion youd be getting ripped off if  you paid 700 as that  guy wants.

I feel the Market is going for no more than 500 us dollars at this time.

If its something you really want, then your not getting ripped off, unless you plan to sell it. then you will see the real market and not the Desired Market.

cheers

the original Swiss Made Sea Anglers both silver and lume dial were to sell for $550. new and were later discounted to $450. due to them both being released at the same time because of a factory delay.Sea Anglers have all gone up in value over the years.hand6.gif

I have seen Sea Anglers sell for as much as $750. The value of a watch is what you put on it and nothing more. :)

....watch market demand is based on a WIS willing to spend $ in order to get a watch they want and in the case of the Swiss Made Sea Anglers which only 50 of each dial were made that market increases due to the exclusivity.....you must ask of this person who is selling ...is he the original owner....what condition the watch is in ....and how many owners did the watch have?... as this will help in setting some of the watches market value opposed to one that is a 1 owner in NIB condition ...at $700. I would expect this watch to be MINT !

the last one I saw for sale was in the mid 400's IIRC

I would say a lot of the [rare at 50 each] ETA Sea Anglers Berg made a few years seem to go for 400-500 from what I have seen on WUS.

What is it worth to you? Hown much ae you willing to pay for this? Will you resell it? What condition is it in?....

Good luck

Brice
