After doing a quick Wikipedia search I thought I'd ask what does "Orsa" mean? A province in Sweden or something else?

I see reference that is was a area in Sweden and also a Swedish dialect. One reference to a definition of "operations in time".

Orsa class torpedo boat The Orsa class were a group of large torpedo boats or destroyer escorts built for the Italian Navy in the late 1930's. They were an enlarged version of the Spica class, with more endurance and a greater depth charge load but less powerful machinery and a lighter gun armament. Surviving pair rebuilt as anti submarine frigates in the 1950's. anti-aircraft guns

I believe ORSA is mainly used (outside of watch circles) as an acronym for the Operations Research Society of America or Operations Research / Systems Analysis, but the theme is the same.

A little birdy may have told me of the latin origins of the word: ordior ordiri orsus dep. [to begin]; esp. [to begin speaking]. N. pl. of partic. as subst. orsa -orum , [beginnings, undertakings]; esp. [words uttered, speech].
