My preference would be for an automatic movement. The suggestions above to try either the Selitta SW200 or ClaroSemag CL888 are good ones - they are 2824-2 clones I believe.

Hi Berg Thanks for the chance to get involved with one of your projects. Its nice to know you value our opinions. That counts alot. I like the automatic as a first choice BUT Quartz is fine ( high quality, 10 yr.). At a good price point. The Sea Angler is a quality timepiece and im sure it will stay the same whatever movement you use. Im not a fan of the chronograph but Ill buy one if you do put it in a Sea Angler. JMO Billy S

Oh I would also prefer non-chrono, since chronos have limited usage in or out of the water (lets face it, even your cell phone has a digital stopwatch that is more useful than a chrono). But if you do make a Sea Angler chrono, I wish you the best of luck. I echo O's suggestion of an orange sea angler with black bezel (and black hands please).

I would definitely buy a quartz, although not a fan of chrono divers. If you want to dial colors, I vote for the silver or orange dial. Thanks. Stan

How many people really want a $10 or less quartz watch like a Ronda 515 or 715, in a case of whatever cost or kind and have a hard time locating one that fits their needs? I for one would much rather pay a small production speciality watch producer $100 additional rather than $100 less and have a good quality mechanical movement watch. I would much rather see you go the other way and use the more expensive ETA 2892 - A2 which is better quality than a basic 2824. Maybe offer an option for those who don't care and/or don't want to spend the extra $'s. If you really can not obtain Eta 2824's or 2892's then suggest you check out the Sellita SW200 and SW300 as many have done. See http://www.sellita.ch The heart and soul of a watch to me is it's mechanical movement -- otherwise I might as well use my cell phone for the time. Berg, ETA 2824-2 is a really good "horse"! Besides (in my oppinion) the quartz watch is the watch without the soul..:) If you need my support please let me know Rgds Marcin

I would buy a quartz or kinetic . ten year battery life sounds good worth paying a bit extra to keep the seals intact. have you thought about a pepsi style blue and red or blue and orange? if only i could work the photoshop buttons.... ian

Generally I don't like quartz movements - nothing against them just souless to me. I'd prefer some form of mechanical any day. However would be interested in quarts for a chronograph - reliable mechanical chronos are just too expensive.

JMHO. No quartz. In fact if its quartz its not a Sea Angler except in looks. The Sea Angler is what it is... one of the best automatic diver watches ever... To make a quartz version ruins the mystique for me and imho degrades the mark. See the aforementioned Seamaster as example... Again to be sure...THIS IS JUST ONE OPINION AND IS NOT MEANT TO BASH OR CHALLENGE.
