Now its my turn. I love cooking. Cooking with a camera is a new experience I'm not a detail oriented guy when it comes to recipes; I just throw in the amounts that look right, so I'll try to approximate. Let's start cookin! First, the ingredient list: I used frozen salmon fillets that I buy at Costco. They are about 4 oz each. I guess you could use salmon steaks, but I happen to have fillets on hand. 1/2 cup soy sauce (the soy bean is named for soy sauce, not the other way around. strange) Ginger (a few rubs on a microplane grater) Sesame Oil (2 tablespoons) Peter Luger Sauce (available in the US; its a steak sauce with anchovies and other sweeteners) (a few tablespoons) Sugar (1 table spoon) Honey (2 tablespoons) Mix everything in a bowl: Don't forget your Sous Chef, getting the tupperware (too bad we didn't use any) Marinate for about an hour: Put 'em on the grill! Flip after a few minutes and cook till the internal is 145F (this guy ain't done yet) There's the chef now, pouring over the rest of the marinade: The final assembly. I also made some asparagus on the grill, just in Italian Dressing, and some Uncle Bens boxed rice: The taste test: The Sous Chef had Chicken and Veggies; pureed. Quite a meal Daddy! And special thanks to my wife for photographing!

Ooooo... my wife loves salmon (has a couple filets in the fridge for grilling this weekend). Will have to show her this recipe and give it a shot. Can she borrow the sous chef? Thanks Marc.... hand6.gif

Fantastic..........and if you can get your hands on Silver (Coho) or Red (Sockeye) Salmon rather than the typical "North Atlantic" Salmon...it will be soooo much better. Marc...I like it!

Thanks everybody!!!! My wife told me I was nuts; I can't argue with that one. It is indeed Wild Atlantic Salmon, at least that's what it says on the package. I wouldn't be surprised to find its farm raised Thanks Onkel! Your praise will inspire me

Go on, tell us how it turns out! You don't want the sous chef right now. He turned into Mr Grouchy before bed - (think he's coming down with something; note that I am up at 4 am) cat28.gif srh_pres wrote: Ooooo... my wife loves salmon (has a couple filets in the fridge for grilling this weekend). Now that looks like one the whole family here would enjoy. Your wife is right... you are nuts... I got strange looks while taking pix of the food on my grill, but the neighbors already know I'm nuts... taking pix of watches on the deck!! Thanks for sharing and I wish my little ones would pitch in like your sous chef!!

Just a general advice: Just go on with the photography thing, your wives will take about 3 weeks to accept it, and about 6 weeks to ask what's up if you DON'T take pics while cooking. Trust me on this.
