Yeah,

He is a great guy.  We were estranged for some time and have recently gotten to know each other again.  Better present than any watch...

He is a real Rolex nut.  Has 4 of the gold Presidents with the meteorite faces.  I would just never wear a watch that fancy.  In 1972 I had the opportunity to buy a gold President at the Rolex factory for $800... wasn't for me.  I would have been killed for that watch a dozen times over by now....

The Ball is nifty and as my eyes age the lights will be a big help.  I have macular Degeneration... not bad yet.......

Just so you know this post is well over a year old and written by a member who has ceased to be active on the forum..face4.gif

That being said I googled this:

http://www.righttime.com/rt/ball/dc1016a-sj-bk.htm

Pretty pricey, eh?;)

Yes, I saw this a while back.  Thought it was a good revue.  The local jeweler who I go to is going to try to become an AD for Ball.  I hope he can become a dealer.  I will more than likely end up owning one.  I have a ? though.  Why does it seem that guys end up flipping these shortly after buying them?  Is there a problem??

I don't know about this particular model, but I've had my BALL Hydrocarbon Magnate for over a year now (I believe), with no plans for flipping it...and there are several here with BALL Firemen who have had them for years.
