Very difficult job and I don't envy watch makers in this respect.  Obviously you have to also have to take the look of the watch into account. Not easy. I'll start with my three suggestions

1. Maritimer

2. Pontus

3. Tigershark (seeing as Ralf likes sharks!)

Fingers crossed

OK, here goes:

First idea - staying in the aquatic life category, how about the BENARUS SAILFISH . . . seems to fit with the softer, smoother profile of this design versus previous models (and it appears no one using it).

Second idea - something I haven't seen any other dive watch maker do . . . naming watches after the world's most popular dive sites.

This leads to possibilities such as BENARUS BONAIRE . . . BENARUS PROVO . . . BENARUS GRAND CAYMAN . . . you get the idea.

fine, the first input thanks

where did you see that I like sharks??

Tigershark is already a watch brand so maybe not the best choice to avoid any trouble

I like the sailfish, a very nice fish and I also haven't heard from a watch with this name

Bonaire sounds also interesting

Grand Cayman or maybe only Cayman

Provo I don't know, and if I google I find nothing with diving:?

I would say we collect suggestions over the whole weekend and on Monday I start a poll with all   names incl. Tarpon and Remora for 2 days and than the top five come in the final poll.
I guess this is fair and we have a name for the #3 within the  next week

Please no more votes on the actual poll they make no sense

Sorry . . . "Provo" is short for Providenciales, part of the Turks and Caicos Islands in the British West Indies. After Bonaire, perhaps the most popular dive site in the Caribbean. Serious divers would get it.

Right, because that's how it's known. Divers, tourists, local residents, etc. all call it Provo.

The other hot spot for diving in the Turks & Caicos Islands is just off the west coast of Grand Turk Island.

You could also consider more exotic diving locales like the Red Sea, Galapagos, Vanuatu, etc.

I really like these names but I do not suggest any more.
I am curios about the response from the forum members and I will accept the winning name

I shoul;d let you know that Provo is the nickname of the loyalist protestant paramilitary group in Northern Ireland. Not sure its a wise idea to use a name of a terrorist/ freedom fighting army.

No problem,  you have another one to suggest if you want  because  Tigershark is an existing watch company so I don't want to use it.
Thank you for the advise with Provo
