Ralf, I must start off by saying that you do some incredible work! I could not be happier with my previous purchases, and look forward to being a loyal customer. That being said, I love the Moray just the way it is. The lume looks a whole lot better in the direct sun and your judgement is king. The Blue is what I have ordered and it looks great...... matter of fact....I am drooling over more than one now. Then you go and throw the new monster into the mix....WHAT are you trying to do here????hand6.gifThumbsup3.gifHave you found anytime for the ladies yet???You should not have... you have too much to do!!!Bouncy.gif

I've pre ordered dial #4 now.  I didn't think I was up for sea foam till I saw these latest shots.  What I really liked was how nice the lume numbers and markers look with the black outline.  Really sets it off nice against that dial color just right;)

As far as the lume color I haven't been sure what I liked best.  I like the cleaner white most of the time.  On the other hand I like the vintage appeal of this watch, and the c3 is brighter.

For dial 4 I'm also torn because I think bluer glow of the white lume would be awsome on this color dial.  However, would the whiter lume and black outline that I like actually pop to much and be destracting from the overall look?

Sorry if my thoughts are rambling, I havn't really handled enough watches with different lume to know if my concerns are founded.

I agree with you that the seam foam looks great.  I'm really looking forward to my #8.  I wish that more companies would be daring in their choice of colors.  How many times have you seen black, blue, white, yellow, and orange watches?  I want to see red, green, purple or even a different shade of blue as we have here with the sea foam.  Hats off to Ralf for bucking the trend!ThumbsUp02.gif

I am in the same predicament... I pre-ordered vintage blue seafoam dial no. 4 based on the graphic image that showed the lume color white.  I think we have both posted a number of messages regarding greenish / yellowish tint of C3 which seems to clash with vintage blue seafoam.

BGW9 would probably be much sharper, and cleaner, and "pop"...

Now that Ralf has decided to offer the British Racing Green special "moray" no. 6.. I wonder how C3 will look?  At night, the C3 greenish glow on the green dial will probably look better than blue lume of BGW9... but during the day C3 might clash?

I also think that we are both at somewhat of a disadvantage because not seeing the dial first hand.  Bright white lume might be distracting, and not blend, and a slight, very slight tint is probably preferred.  I just hope that the C3 tint is not garish and does not clash with the vintage blue seafoam.

The problem that I see with the Seiko Black Monster is that the dial includes flat black, white seconds markers, and big green lume markers.  Eliminate the white seconds markers, and probably would be better.  Oh well, talk about rambling.

Jim

I am hoping for the C3 on the green dial, I don't think a blue lume would look good at all at night on the green either. I also think it's a milestone just getting the option of a green dial, glad I was second in-line and piped up. Was there a post on the hand color options for the Moray? I'm definately looking forward to this in June. I also thought I saw a four gang watch case for 4 Benarus Sea Devils, That would be cool too. Have the Cuda', Devil, Moray and Megalodon in one big zip case, Might not be a bad option to purchase until old Ralf comes up with #5 in the series, Oh well, looking forward for that one too...............Dan

Dude, I'm so jealous of you.  I didn't learn about Benarus until all of the Barracudas were sold.  Now I'm lusting after one but there is none to be had!mistake.gif

I have #32 Cuda, #12 lume dial Devil, and just now pre paying Ralf for #2 Green dial Moray. Hope the Megalodon goes thru as well, There will be a Cuda for sale eventually, grab it if you can. Good luck and buy the rest of them anyway and have the rest while you wait for one to surface........DanThumbsUp02.gif

I can't wait for June, that's for sure!!!!  Two Morays on the way, #1 and #4 dials brushed with orange hands.

On top of that summer vacation, and best of all my baby girls first birthday!  Maybe I'll have to get another Moray for her:)

That's the plan!  I have a Sea Devil on the way (?#).  I'm on the list for a #8 Moray and a #11 Megalodon.  How on earth did you get a #2?  I'm still on the fence about the green Moray, though.  I was hoping that it would be a bright green like the 3T logo.  The hunter green looks like it won't "pop".  I'm afraid that under most lighting situtations, it would look like black.  If it's a dark green, I prefer something metallic and shimmering like the green Seiko Alpinist.  I hate the hands on the alpinist, though.  Do we know whether the green dial of the Moray will be textured like the sea foam sample or metallic?

If it's metallic, I'll probably go for one.

I wish that more companies would be daring in their choice of colors.  How many times have you seen black, blue, white, yellow, and orange watches?  I want to see red, green, purple or even a different shade of blue as we have here with the sea foam.  Hats off to Ralf for bucking the trend!ThumbsUp02.gifOn the one hand I agree completely.  On the other I'm glad I found out about Ralf and the Benarus line.  Now we can have stand out pieces that don't look like everyone elses.
