I found that I had to push pretty hard when I used the screwdriver.

Mine doesn't even move one bit. The screw on the other side turns with a lot of resistance. I don't know how you guys can use the screwdriver to push it out. It's a bit too big to even push the tube. This is extremely frustrating. I got these two awesome straps that I can't even use.

why don't you just take it to a jeweler?...and exactly what are you saying?...did you get the small screw out already on 1 end and just the long tube screw is left in or didn't you remove any of the screws? face4.gif

I removed the small screw at one end but I can't push out the tube. The other side of the bracelet came out without a glitch. I will probably bring it to a jeweler, but I would like to fix it myself if possible.

well using the screwdriver may damage the screw so use something smaller than the hole like a round toothpick or paperclip if you don't have springbar tool and just give it a good push....there is nothing else holding that tube in place unless it is bent for some reason or the opening has stretched/rounded out requiring a little more force to extract as I suspect you bought this SD pre-owned?

Yes it's pre-owned but has seen almost no use at all. (worn about 4-5 times with rubber and leather bracelet unused). I've tried using the toothpick trick before. That's actually how I got the side of the bracelet to come off.

Tried again with the toothpick pushing like crazy. The thing is not moving whatsoever. I think I've managed to mess it up in the process. The screw now goes back in but never gets fully tight. It's not sticking out or anything, but it's not getting fully tight either. :(
