So I have been searching for a Brushed Dart Dial Moray in the preowned market for a couple weeks and (no surprise) nobody wants to part with one...so I quickly get over my case finish snobery and order a Blasted Case Dart Dial from Steve with the regular polished hands (I really think that Oscar's dart dial pics single handedly broke me down). I am really normally partial to a brushed case finish, but I have to tell you that Benarus does a great Blasted case finish (very, very nicely done). I like this one alot and my concerns about it jiving with the great vintage design are truly unfounded!!!! Benarus Blasted Finish = Very Cool woohoo.gif Well, those that have the Moray understand that it is just "So Right", great size, excellent quality, fantastic package, and it seems it's difficult to have just 1 Moray so the Dart Dial joins my Brushed BRG (and man...if all of you haven't been tempting me with the Silver Dial Moray as well). Ralf and Steve....you guys have done so much right with the Moray!!!! Just a fantastic, vintage, classic, piece....LOVE IT!!!! A few pics (like you guys don't know what a Moray looks like yet): Wrist Shot Cool, Vintage, Textured Dial isn't it?

I wish someone would buy the last of the Dart dials! I'm so tempted to buy a 2nd Moray! Fight it...fight it.

You couldn't be more right Stew! I couldn't make up my mind about the Moray in time to get in on the pre-order, so I resigned myself to wait and see. And then all you T3ers started posting your impressions and fabulous pix on here and I just couldn't take it any more. I knew I had to have one. But every version posted here just looked awesome. I don't know if I've ever seen a watch with so many variations that all worked. It was the dart dial that finally grabbed me. It's funny -- I really disliked it when the Moray was first announced. But seeing wristshots from Oscar and a couple others, I finally "got it". I'm happy to be a Moray owner -- it's everything you all have been saying -- as I think Stew nailed: It's just right. So if it's ok, dart #10 says "Hi" to its brother!

At first I really wanted the orange hands on my Dart. Then I started seeing the pics of the Darts with all silver hands and started worrying I made a mistake going with the orange. Seeing pics like these and I realize you can't go wrong either way! Silver hands have a nice clean look, and the orange gives the dart a nice pop of color. No bad choices with the Moray!!!

Gentlemen...Thank you for the kind words. Gristle - I sympathize man SBD - Your brushed, orange hand Dart Dial looks fantastic...looks super on the rubber strap (I havn't yet had mine on the rubber). Dart #3 says "hey bro" to Dart #10 moresnowdays - agree 100%, it's really hard to decide because so many of the Moray combos look so, so good. Tony - Thanks buddy...really enjoying the look of the blasted...had some secondary concerns about scratch repairability (I've only had this finish on one other watch before...an older Ollech & Wajs cougar), but my recollection is that the blasted finish actually resisted scratches better even though a true repair will be more difficult and require re-blasting for that like-new look.

Simply beautiful Stew!!! I do have a BB Sea Devil and brush Moray. I had the same concerns about the finish being a scratch magnet but I can confirm that the BB finish seems more resistant to scratches than the brushed finished, so good move. Enjoy!
