Cool, look forward to seeing the results. I "egged" a couple bronze buckles, but I'm debating between treating the watch or letting it patina on it's own. Based on my usual amount of patience,it'll probably be in the egg bag within 24 hours.-)

Ok...I put her in the egg bag, mainly so that she looks a bit less "gold." Where I live, people will think it's GOLD, and I don't really want that.

Nice comparison photo. It will be interesting to see how to two different case materials patina over time.

here is how mine is looking. I am thinking about letting it sit in Liver of Sulfer gel and water.... all day, then see what happens. Another trick that I have discovered is if you want to remove patina, or bring back brighter tones at the high points then you take baking soda and water and you rub the watch with your fingers and thumbs while it has wet baking soda all over it and it will remove the patina where you want, leaving the deeper areas darker.

Looking good Steve. How long has it been since you treated it with the "egg bag"? I can't wait to get started on mine.

I haven't used the egg bag on this one yet. This is all Liver of Sulfur Gel. I may try the egg also when I get some time.
